Sorry to all concerned but we are upgrading the site and trying to merge the forum with the main site , which is what it should have been to start with.
Also once we get there when you upload an update or photo it will transfer to the whole site.
Also all application forms will be just a click, fill in and send.
We are trying to make it more user friendly and more educational and welfare orientated with lots more information and alternative remedies available.
    Please stick with us.
    Thanks.

Yes tell them no problem please get in touch.
E mail is not infallable and problems can always arise with servers down etc.
I think within reason one week is reasonable as we are working with volunteers and sometimes there are lots of visits to be processed for a particular dog or pup and it is always dealt with as to which is the most suited home for that particular dog/pup.
Also a lot of the time homevisits dont get offered on and this also delays the process.
But anyone feeling they have a problem please phone any of the Admin team and we will try to sort it out asap.
    Hope this helps.

Well the really good news was that Furby got to go home with a new brother, Ron, Hillary and Furby adopted Harley.
So now all four of them are tripping around the UK in their new camper van.
What a real happy ending and what a great life for the dogs.
Looking forward to some new photos and updates.

This is the best little man in the world.
Whoever gets to adopt him will be very lucky.
His real name is Chester and he is three years old.
He is vaccinated, microchipped and was neutered today but had a retained testicle so a bit out of sorts yet.
He adores children, is good with other dogs and loves cats.
He is lead trained and is fantastic in the jeep.
    What more could anyone want.

Well the little man has been altered today and is still in good form.
He slept for quite a while but managed a dinner of roast chicken and potatoe and has just agreed to a small pigs ear.
He will be in tip top shape in the morning.
He had a great time with Lucy yesterday…………he is in luv…..did not want her to go.
They are a great match, age, size and fun.
It was difficult to get any photos as they were whizzing around so much.
I am delighted that Lucy has chosen Gio as her new friend I think they will be magic together and provide lots of fun together and give their parents time to sit, relax have a glass of wine or whatever and enjoy their antics.
I also think Charlie will like Gio as he is very respectful of the older generation(dogs I mean) one of my dogs is fourteen and a bit and he has been really good considering he is still a baby.

If there is dry skin in existance then there is an underlying problem.
Shampoo will only mask the symptoms.
You need to look at diet first……..usually the root cause.
Dont mask the symptoms with a shampoo get to the root cause.

The kennel cough vaccine treats only one strain of the virus and currrently there are eleven known strains.
Therefore if you vacinate your dog there are still no guarantees.
In healthy adults their own immune system kicks in but with underweight victims it takes longer to sort.
Pups are very vunerable as they are only getting an immume system and can get pneumonia and can be fatal ,as I have experienced in the past sadly.
As with all virus bilding the immune system is the best approach.
Good food, a warm bed and lots of TLC as someone said just like a cold.

This is always linked with the digestive system so maybe try the following…………
    1. Probiotic Youghurt one teaspoon one a day for four days and continue this routine after worming.
    2. The food he is on may not agree with him. Maybe try Royal Canin Puppy either Mini or Medium, depending on what his adult weight will be approx.
You can get sample packs to try but do take ten days to change over if you do change the food.
All dogs are different and some will suit some food better than others.
This problem is not acceptable from the human point of view but it can be fixed and all that is happening is his digestive system is not happy.
You do not need a vet visit to sort this out but if you need more info please feel free to phone me.
I do know about nutrition as I have done Nutritional Advisor in Stores for Nutro, Nutram and Royal Canin.

Great dog he really deserves it all.
So glad he is happy and settled.
It must be so hard for the older dogs no matter what the home was like it was the only one they knew and then shattered.
Thank goodness they bounce back as well as they do……explains why we love them so much….humans would never forgive and forget like that ;) ;)
Best of luck Brian you so deserve to be loved and appreciated and it looks like you have finally got it right. :D

So delighted to hear Tucks good news I am sure you are both relieved.
He is very lucky to have found such good caring parents.
I am delighted for him as he deserves it after his inital experience of being unwanted and I am delighted for both of you as he is clearly an important family member, much loved and cared for.
Please dont leave it so long again before an update as lots of people on the site would love to keep up with his progress.
Happy endings keep us going. ;)

Eoin is gone to live in the West of Ireland and hopefully the family will keep us updated with his progress.
Thanks to Julie for fostering him and getting him back healthy again as he was in very bad condition.
This is an update we deserve and need to know.
Adoptive familys need to appreciate the work that goes into these pups/dogs and all we ask for is an update. Its good for the foster family and good for everyone to read another happy ending ,hopefully.

This boy is getting over a bad dose of kennel cough but otherwise getting on great.
He has been good with the horses, other dogs and loves children, he slept with Kealan the other night.
He is very athletic and well able to jump.
He is also able to open doors.
He is very obedient and travels well in the jeep.
He has been to a hunter trial and enjoyed the day out and all the extra attention he got.
He is a great dog and will make a great addition to a family.
I will get some photos soon.
