They’re lovely pics of Thyra, Nicole. Great to see her enjoying the garden!
Hope to see you soon when pups are self sufficient!!!yoddyMemberWell Tessa is struggling hard to be a good Mama. Big thanks to Jonathan from Ollie’s Petcare who took Tessa out for a long walk yesterday with Tio. She only lasted 40 mins but it really perked her up and her appetite has improved. However, she doesn’t want to be with her pups at all. If I sit on the floor and massage her, she will just about feed them. Otherwise she doesn’t want to know. She just wants to be around the house with me. The pups are doing great so far and they are just adorable.
The pups have been named – Twix, Tubs and Tuc.

IMG_2370.JPGyoddyMemberThanks everyone for all the good wishes. Tessa and pups are doing great. Tessa went from ‘Fat Mamma’ to ‘Bad Mamma’ to ‘Fab Mamma’. She didn’t bond with the pups yesterday but thanks to Marie coming and showing me techniques to use yesterday evening, we got her feeding and finally last night I got her to keep the pups with her. Whew! I might get to see my bed tonight. Nature is magnificent, once she accepted they were her pups, she turned into Mother of the Year. The pups are beautiful and seem very content – although as Marie said, they are right little movers and they are all over the place! She’s not mad on me taking out the camera so here are a few sneaky pics .

IMG_2361.JPGyoddyMemberYay!! Tessa had her 3 pups at lunch time. All doing well. Just a few quick snaps as I know she has a lot of followers. Will update when Tessa takes over the 2 hourly feeds.

IMG_2356.JPGyoddyMemberHappy New Year Buttons and family! Great to see an update – you look smashing and so happy. You are having fun in the video with your ‘toy’ – no scary spiders this year from Santa.
yoddyMemberWell it’s time to play hard ball with Tessa! She’s still playing her little game of looking out the window for the pups, but I’m not laughing anymore She’s plodding around the house like a beached whale and she is now called ‘Fat Mamma’. Still showing no signs whatsoever of sharing her pup pups. Well……I’ve possibly gone stir-crazy sitting in the house on maternity duty for over a week…..but I told Tessa she can deliver those pups herself today, or I’m going in Face mask, check, scalpel, check, rubber gloves, check, alcohol (for me, not for cleaning), check….watch this space.

IMG_2345.JPGyoddyMemberAnother night of no puppies! Tessa is doing fine, no signs at all of imminent delivery. I had words with her this morning about sharing her puppies with me and she shoved her tummy in my face, stuck her tongue out at me and said " ha ha they’re mine and you’re not gonna get them". I sometimes wonder why I bother.
IMG_2344.JPGyoddyMemberWell guess what? Yes, we are still waiting….
Tio was so fed up yesterday that he sent Tessa to potter in the tool shed and he stepped into the maternity ward…..
This morning Tessa and Goldie were out having their morning sniff. Tessa has got much bigger in the last few days……it has to be soon. If not, I’m signing her up for Operation Transformation as I’m thinking it’s just Christmas tummy she has!!

IMG_2338.JPGyoddyMemberAnother sleepless night (for me!) and all Tessa delivered was snores!
Today I got the crate all set up for puppies arrival and Tio and Goldie encouraged Tessa to go in have those puppies!! And the wait goes on….

IMG_2327.JPGyoddyMemberWell Tess had a 2nd expected due date – yesterday!! And still no signs of puppies The final date based on a formula from the scan is this Friday – however the vet didn’t think Tessa would last until then….Tessa may have other ideas!
DF77 thanks for your good wishes – I’m beginning to think the pups may indeed have to crawl their way out of Tessa’s ears if they are ever to see the light of day!
IMG_2324.JPGyoddyMemberI was reading this post from page 1 and thought what a beautiful outcome for Jessie and then realized that the last post was poor Jessie’s passing. So sad for you losing 2 dogs in a short space of time. You must be heartbroken. But what a wonderful life you gave Jessie! The photos tell it all – well done for loving her and making her last years so happy. RIP Jessie.
yoddyMemberWell here we are, Sunday and still no puppies I’m having strong words with Tessa about letting these little puppies appear, but she’s totally in denial. Everytime I ask her "when are your puppies going to appear?", she runs to the window and looks out and says "no sign of them". I haven’t the heart to tell her that they won’t be coming through the front door.
Otherwise all is well according to the vet. Her temperature dropped slightly on Friday (which is supposed to be a sign of labour), but Tessa’s not showing any other signs. Sigh…..can’t wait. Watch this space, has to be the next few days. It’s my first ‘home birth’ so nervous and excited. Say a little prayer all goes well for Tessa.

IMG_2321.JPGyoddyMemberWell Little Mama Tessa has been with me now since Tuesday and is settling in nicely. She got into the full swing of Christmas…..donned her little antlers, chewed on her Santa bone and snoozed with everyone else!
She is a very placid girl which is great as I don’t have to separate Tio (my skittish yorkie) from her. Goldie and Tessa are the same size and they plod around together quite happily.
Tessa is sleeping on her own in the kitchen and she does bark initially at night but then settles down. However she’s an early riser (7.30am ) and lets us all know Tessa wants us up and out of the duvet – NOW! She’s a good eater and is loving the chicken and gravy that’s popping into her kibbles. I’m sooooo excited waiting for puppies to arrive – have to keep reminding her she has puppies in her tummy as she leaps off the couch at the highest point I keep waiting to see puppies flying through the air. Tessa says ‘ watch this space peeps ‘……
