This poor little girl was bought as a puppy and as soon as her cuteness was gone she was thrown out the back   She has spent the last couple of years outside with an untreated skin condition and this is the result   Thankfully Andrea got her from her ""Family"" and brought her to Dogs in Distress. She is currently in the vets where she will need to stay for a least a week. She will then go into foster care where it will take up to four months to get her back to full health :(

Please…if you can spare a few euros to help this little girl..p.m. me or post here ;)

It breaks my heart to see neglect like this.

Shame on these ‘human’ beings they are just disgraceful. This is what can happen when people have the ‘only a dog attitude . Hope Jessie will soon be in a great foster home where she will be safe and well cared for. She looks like a lovely little dog .

I’ve donated E50 via PayPal. Happy that I don’t need to already have or set-up a PayPal account to do so.

Good going getting the owner to give the dog to DiD. Well done Andrea! It’s good to get involved and take the risk for the sake of a helpless animal.

A big thanks to Andrea for collecting this little angel this morning and taking her into foster ;) I had the pleasure of meeting Jessie and she is such a gentle & loving little girl. She is in horrendous condition but still gently took a treat and licked my hand :D I can’t wait to see her continue to improve :D

Just had a full day with this girly. She is a pleasure to have. I wasn’t in the greatest mood yesterday due to tiredness. I picked jessie up and within mins she had brightened my day. What a difference a few days in the vets did. She was as happy as larry in the car lookin out the window and wandering around. Only a few days ago as the above pic shows she just lay there and didn’t move. She is now full of life. We have only had one accident, and she has become very vocal when u talk to her she talks back it’s hilarious. Just settling down for a very smelly cuddle :-) but she is soooooooo worth it

My family have fostered Jessie and she settled in perfectly right away! She is the happiest little dog considering all she has been through.

So far we have learnt that she gets on great will all other dogs. She has met loads of dogs all ready and there hasn’t been a problem.

She is great on the lead. No pulling what so ever. We can even walk her off the lead in the parks.

She is very relaxed in the house and is happy to just go off and sleep. She took a fancy to Skip’s bed. He is a dog we were minding for a couple of days so we’re gonna go get her her own bed later on.
She has been sleeping in the kitchen and there hasn’t been a peep out of her all night.

She has had a couple of accidents in the house but we will sort that out.

Met the lovely little Jessie on Saturday morning while walking my two. Jessie is adorable and very affectionate coming up to give me a big hello.
Jessie seems very socialised saying hello to Millie & Buddy.

This lovely little girl is doing great cos of her brill foster family

    Thanks Niamh!

Jessie is still getting on great. She loves talking so much! Every morning we’re greated with a big hello from her. She is such a little happy girl who loves to sit beside us all or sit on her favourite places on the couch beside Lola. She doesn’t need much walking. The one big one seems to tire her out but she still comes on little walks. And again, she is great off the lead. She comes when she is called but walks a little slow behind!

Jesse has come on loads! Everyone is saying how great she looks now and how her hair is starting to grow back. Everyone loves her and thinks she is sweet. She says hi to everyone we meet and starts talking to them!
She is getting on great with our own dog now and they play together all the time and curl up on the couch. At first she wasn’t very sure how to play properly but now she is playing with everyone!
We have to wash her with her special shampoo twice a week and she loves her showers as they are very soothing on her skin.
