I minded Lady last night. She did not respond to ‘Lady’ at all….

Lady is above all affectionate, she loves to lick or to sit on your knee. When walking her (3 walks all off lead!) she sometimes jumps to my hand – I’ve no idea why. She was quite intimidated by passing dogs, she tried to climb up me – but she always survived the encounters gracefully. She snuggled beside me on the couch with me this morning while I stroked her gorgeous silky fur coat.

Lady hates to be alone – she actually left her dinner to follow me out of the kitchen. She crys a little in the kitchen unless I’m touching her. So I think a busy house or a very loving owner who is around a lot may suit her.

It took Lady some time to adjust to us- she was absolutely loving and affectionate but also cowered when we raised food plates, or garden sticks – her fear of me passed very quickly, and there was no cowering at all today.

Lady was excellent in the car, keeping to the passenger seat obediently. In fact she is so eager to please in general that she is naturally an obedient dog. She does not know ‘sit’ or ‘heel’, yet in an effort to please she walked right beside me for hours in the park this morning.

She’s a dog I’d come to love deeply, I know she’d be very loyal and is beautifully gentle.

Buttons has met her Forever Family but will not go to them until she has finished her medical treatment.

Congratulations to Buttons! Today she had no accidents indoors, she wandered into the garden throughout the day to ‘do her business’, yes she will act on command!

Button (Emily’s unofficial name) is magical. She is beautifully soft and fluffy, with green gold eyes. She is a gentle natured pup, playful & cuddly. Button is independent and very loyal, she stays by my side in the front garden and has never tried to bolt when the front door opens. She loves new people and visits my friends or welcomes them when they call to visit her here.

She is very fashionable preferring pink to flatter her chocolate coat, and i have been accused of having a ‘designer dog’ :D

Button loves to sleep on my knee in the car. She is experiencing life though is not ready to meet other dogs.

She is almost naturally housetrained, with only a few accidents in doors and none serious. The neighbours children love sleepy Button.

Incredibly Button fetches and gives the ball without ever being trained! She also loves to chew slippers, and chase empty water bottles. Today’s favourite toy is the garden rake, she pretends to confront it as I garden but runs when it chases her. That’s when she’s not sleeping in a sunny spot…

Last night was the 1st evening Button put herself to bed in her pen. Maybe her 1st bath exhausted her – Button actually likes to have water splashed around her while she chases droplets to drink and licks other droplets from her paws.

Button barks only at mysterious toys and the broken leg of the ironing board. As soon as she’s familiar with an object the barking ceases till she finds another fun toy. Passing traffic does not frighten her, button is a very calm little lass.

Button can sit, is learning ‘down’ and ‘alright’ as a release word. She is incredibly sharp and it’s so much fun to train her.

Button has excellent doorway manners, does not get feed from the table, does not jump up (though I encourage her to ask to be lifted onto me or the couch so that may change!), and is gentle.

Next she will learn to be less possessive over her food, never to chew my hands and I shall start to leave her alone for short periods.

Bryce (Zac) gets cuter by the day, tonight he’s discovered that dropping his head across my laptop keyboard gets him petted!!! Last night was his first night to have reign of the house to choose his sleeping spot (till then he was put in a crate like contraption). He chose the couch and he’s welcome to sleep there in future.

I found Zac at one point without his hat (the collar given after neutering) I picked it up, and he offered me his head to put the hat back on!!!

He has learnt to sit, but I’m not convinced he knows that he should sit when he hears the word, rather than when he wants a treat. He thinks sitting is the key to my heart so tries it at every opportunity. He’s starting to sit (sit, jump up, sit, jump-up) before walkies which is super.

Bryce / Zac is a loving dog, he loves affection and snuggles beside me while I relax on the couch. He had a painful day in the vets yesterday but had not complained at all, he’s a good humored, happy dog who adjusts quickly.

He is learning to ‘sit’. In fact he now thinks sitting is the secret to having every wish come true. I put him in his pen today and he sat, then looked up at me as if to say ‘look, I sat for you, now let me out’!

Zac made a friend today in the park, and he is already walking buddies with Pepper and Domino.

Zac pulls on the lead, so we bought a walkrite which makes walking a pleasure again.

Zac, who is very responsive to his new name, arrived in my home last night. He was immediately affectionate and loving. He didn’t seem disturbed that he was in unfamiliar territory, except for the marking of his territory, which has thankfully stopped!

He LOVES walking. I’m using a short lead which gives him no scope for investigation….let’s see how he progresses.

Zac is absolutely content to sit in his pen, though he prefers the couch, especially if my mom is on it, he couldn’t stop hugging and licking her.

He eats pellets happily but I expect he has been feed from the table in the past as I get puppy eyes at dinner time.

Occasionally he seems nervous if I go to pet his head, though he always allows it. He sometimes seems confused when meeting new people, he’s seems caught between wanting to be friendly and a caution of strangers.

Yes he’s looking for a permanent home. Honestly he’s a gem.
