HebeMember
This dog is TRANSFORMED. Such a contrast to the emaciated dejected waif you took in – he is beaming with happiness. Well done fosterers!!
HebeMemberI’m glad this dog is with you. Your sensitivity to her and your past experience with Jack means she has fortunately landed in the ideal home to help her forward. She is so pretty and has such a soft vulnerable look about her – really, really pleased she’s with you.
HebeMemberWhat a great shot of Auzzie leaping! And what a perfect jump, paws tucked in, beautiful line, like a thoroughbred horse. He’s a handsome chap too, beautiful colouring. A lovely dog.
HebeMemberToday is the third anniversary of our Harry coming to live with us. He had fish for breakfast to celebrate and his usual rambles in the fields. As he is a sworn enemy of all Cats we’ve had an easier time of it since our neighbour with a clowder of cats moved to pastures new.
He has stopped barking at one of his benefactors whenever he meets him [the farmer who lets us have total access to his fields] so all in all he’s beginning to display signs of maturity. Here are some photos of him looking pensive [probably plotting against the cats]in one and demure in the other.

HebeMemberI love reading your updates on this boy. You really bring his character alive for me. And what a character he is! I love his bouncy gait and his sweet antics. I know nothing about salukis but this chap is making me warm to the breed. Well done you for fostering him and bringing out his quirky and adorable personality.
HebeMemberHi mightybelle,
I was very touched reading your post. Your love for Bailey comes shining through everything you say. It must have been truly distressing for you and your family to have tried to secure a good future for Bailey and to have been let down so badly. He’s being fostered now by the same people who fostered my dog and they are wonderful, really know the breed and will love him to bits while he’s in their care.
HebeMemberArthur is a very attractive looking dog. Is he a merle collie mixed with something slighter, like a whippet? Or is it just that he’s still puppyish? Would love some more photos of him
HebeMemberI’m also lost in admiration for what you’ve achieved in such a short time with Daisy [Hope] it’s a real miracle of love and patience given how anxious this little girl was on so many fronts. Nobody meeting you casually on a walk, could guess at the journey you’ve both made. And she really is a very fine looking dog – so elegant and with such lovely markings.
HebeMemberWhat a great title for a children’s book! Followed by ‘The Adventures of Charlie and Mr. & Mrs. Peanutbutter in the Wicklow Mountains’. Who knows it could turn into a series – a film – merchandise. All proceeds to Dogs in Distress.
HebeMemberShe looks incomparably better. You really are doing a wonderful job with her. She is beautiful and you are an amazing fosterer.

He looks so elegant emerging from the water – a canine Ursula Andress and then hanging out the window, drinking it all in, mad to be off. Lovely lovely stuff. Just thrilled with how things have turned out for him.

This darling boy has waited so long and was so deserving. Bless his wonderful fosterers, DID and his new family – Just the most heartwarming news.
HebeMemberI wept when I first read this thread – that picture of him in the pound! Such a frightened soul and then his escape from the hell of pain and abandonment – it was overwhelming. Well done to everyone involved and what a handsome dog he is half collie, half fox -all gorgeous. I hope his lovely family will keep the updates coming – I love this particular happy ending.
HebeMemberOh I was so pleased to see this update on Indie. He is just the coolest dog. When he first appeared on the site I was so tempted but my guy is very lukewarm[to put it mildly] about other dogs – I’m working on it through a mixture of exposure and rational argument, meanwhile I can admire dogs like the gorgeous Indie from afar. I especially like his ‘musical’ shots and his cross-legged contemplative pose.
