well i think i judged ruby’s social skills too soon. we went for a long walk along the coast in clontarf today and she was brilliant. she was very friendly to all the dogs we met and there was no growling at all! i still think the classes are a good idea, but at least she doesn’t hate other doggies ![]()

Having a snooze…

And another one…

i am so good at playing with my toys!

ahh…a bottle of wine and a nice fire…
congratulations to sophie and her new family! kathy…I’ll ship you over a few hundred boxes of tissues…
yeah we are SO not strict with her…i think we’re the ones who need some training… ![]()
thanks for the advice! i’ll look into some classes and see how it goes. she is really the sweetest thing with people and very playful so i know she has it in her to be nice to dogs too!
aw what a cutie!! he looks really happy with you…lucky boy!
You got Dante!! Hooray! I’m sure he will be so happy with you and I can just picture him crashed out in front of your fireplace. I’m sure I’ll see you out walking one of these days! Good Luck with your new family member…

Here’s Amirah (now Ruby) in her before and after glamour shots! Thanks to Fitzsimons Grooming Parlour in Cabra…they took her at the end of the day with no notice and did a great job! She is exhausted from playing and is now out cold on the couch.

before my makeover

new toys and a new haircut!

Well she’s a keeper. Amirah is going to be called Ruby (just like Samantha the Boxer!) and she’s now a full time resident of East Wall.

we’re going to be useless foster parents…we’re madly in love already and couldn’t let her go…looks like Amirah’s found her forever home!
she is the most affectionate and playful little thing. the pound thought she was about 1-2 years old but she still has a bit of puppy attitude. her legs and neck are very badly matted but we’ll get that sorted in no time. she is a little shadow and follows us every time we get up, but when we’re sitting down she likes having a wander around. she seems to be eating okay from a bowl but prefers to be fed by hand…little princess! she comes whenever she’s called in a flash but i don’t think she knows much about potty training. haven’t heard a peep out of her yet but im sure that will come in time!
i’ll post a few pics later, she’s too cute not to show her off…
amirah is a little angel! very scared and shaking at first but we wrapped her in a fleece and within 10 minutes she was looking out the window, giving us loads of licks and ever a few tail wags ![]()
Hi Sue,
Im technically incompetant and have sent you 2 PMs that haven’t gone thru… Saturday morning at 10 would be great if that suits your mam. Just need the address and we can google-map the directions.
Thanks!
Amy
we got to meet sophie and the babies today and they are all so sweet! she’s such a good mama and a gorgeous little girl herself. thanks for hanging out with us today sophie!
suzi says we’ve passed our home visit with flying colours! we heard tilly wasn’t feeling great so hopefully she’s on the mend…we’d love to come and meet her as soon as her foster mom has time…
thanks!
How is the new mama coming along? We have just been approved to adopt and would love to meet Sophie soon…How do you think she’ll take to leaving her pups?
