I cant believe it has only been a little over a week since we became a family again, it seems Toto has been here for ever and yet we are still finding out his funny ways. Himself and Eugene are in unison on the snoring ,its so funny. Toto has discovered rabbit’s O YES, RABBIT’S ,its so funny. We were on one of his favourite walks,we went a little further along and I could see them disappearing into the furs on front of us as we walked, suddenly he got the sent and he was gone, he was like a tracker dog nose to the ground. He wasn’t to know that the name tag we got for him jingle’s as he moves so every rabbit with good hearing is long gone into hiding but it keeps him amused for ages and he thinks he is great.
He does the funniest thing when ever he is over excited he runs around like a tasmanian devil from the sitting room to the kitchen about 5-6 times jumps onto his bed in the dining room jumps off goes under it and starts it all over again its so funny.
I washed him the other night and had a heated towel to dry him off he loved it, then it turns into a game again of tug of war with the towel, he gets over excited and out comes the tasmanian devil, mad isn’t it. 5 minutes later and he is in between the two of us on the couch fast asleep. I think he has discovered his inner puppy and relieving his youth. We went over to the our vet on saturday to introduce Toto to them, they had taken the first day off together since opening years ago and had a locum, just our luck, so she gave him a worm dose and check up, we will go again to see them and show our second son Toto the apple of our eyes.
We will keep in touch and let you know all that is going on down here.
thanks again for all you all do,
it is very much appreciated, and thanks again for our bundle of joy,
he makes every day a joy to behold.
sincerely Denise and Eugene and not forgetting Toto…

November 11, 2010 at 11:09 am #102020buzzsmomMemberThey look great together, I would guess that might be an action packed house with two busy little terriers with cutie faces getting up to all sorts of mischief.

Just a few lines to let you all know how our little family are getting on. We said Jake was used to his name in foster care so Jake he is .
He is a little dote, I did a little research and Jake is a cross between a Jack /Petterdale, OMY GOD HAVE THEY GOT HIM NAILED! I may get a whistle to warn the rabbits this guy is coming. He picked up the scent straight away. Yesterday was the first day I had him off lead for a few minutes with no horses and sheep near us. They both took off into the bushes and Toto came back but your man was on a scent, I got him back eventually.
Today was much better there were no sheep or horses and I had them away from the rabbits so he and Toto played chasing and had a great time. he came back better today and loved his freedom.
If you read the description of the two breeds, they say can be dominant and you have to be alfa male from the start, they need to have lots of fast walks, they say chilled out at home and mad to go when out and that they were used to go underground , fox and badger".
The two of them are past out cold after there long walk and play, Belinda did a great job with him before I got him and I would say that is why he is so well rounded, thanks to you all for all you do.
He is soooo cuddly and willing to please I cant understand why he wasn’t snapped up, the fun the two have playing in and out of the house. We all sleep in our room Jake is beside me on a bed made of a king size quilt folded in to a 1/4 and a soft blanket over that, we tried the four in a bed but Eugene didn’t get a look in and I had a dog beside me with his head on my arm and one the other side with the head on the pillow. so we had to compromise.
When Eugene goes out to work he lets them out if they want to or he puts Jake beside me and we have a sleep till Toto gets bored about 8.30 and it all kicks off again.
Have to go now two dogs think this is taking too long, both up on my lap now, aAAA THEY ARE KISSING ME AND ONE ANOTHER HOW CUTE, WILL END NOW FINDING IT HARD TO CONTINUE WITH THEM ,will keep you all up dated, again thanks for all ye do.
Denise.
