These 2 boys are both little beauties. They are now safely in foster. Shadow (dark pup) was very quiet on the journey from the pound, but really affectionate and loving rubs (and treats ). Teddy was more excitable and was looking out the window all the way – tail up and a happy chappy. So glad they only had to do 1 night in the pound as they are both adorable. Here’s hoping they are in their forever homes by Christmas. I’ll be following this pair…..

image.jpgDecember 29, 2013 at 10:51 am #118663yoddyMemberShadow you slipped into Happy Endings without my even noticing.
It would be lovely to hear how you are getting on with your new family?January 2, 2014 at 10:43 pm #118730BarbaraodonoghueMemberShadow has settled in really well in his new home. He loves stretching out on the sofa in the evening or in front of the fire….when there is not enough space for him on the sofa! He has a lovely temperament and is great with children, adults and other dogs he meets. He loves the Phoenix Park and our other local park.
We also find he is great in the car – just settles back in the middle seat between Dervla and Cathal. His first trip was to Cavan to meet his cousin Whispa (A very large chocolate lab) and they got on really well, sharing the rug in front of the fire and even their toys.
He has his first bath before Santa came on Christmas eve and whimpered a little but was fine after that. Just like my two children though he ran from the hairdryer!
He is more at home now in the garden and loves to sniff all over and also likes to hide some toys in the bushes to play with later – the first few days he would only go out in the garden if someone went with him. Now he is happy to play with his ball for awhile by himself.
We have found it hard to take photos of Shadow as he is so dark but have some nice ones which I will post up over the next week. It’s hard to imagine a time when we didn’t have Shadow now he is very much part of our home.January 5, 2014 at 5:20 pm #118754yoddyMemberThanks a million for the update. This is one little cute guy. I’m so glad to hear about his antics in his forever home. I’m not surprised he got on well with his cousin Whispa, as he was living with another dog before being surrendered, so he would be used to sharing rugs with another fur baby.
Look forward to photos and future updates. Hope you all have lots of fun together. -
