    Hi,

Well Scrappy is fine after his little op. He has been very good about the stitches, not really interested in them at all. We still put on the collar at night. Abby keeps trying to look and make him better. He no follows gerry everywhere, upstairs to the bathroom and up he goes, gets up to go to the kitchen , up he goes and follows, then abby folllows. I have christened him the Pied Piper

He has had no accidents in the house since the weekend which is great. He goes to the back door and pulls back the curtain when he wants to go out. Such a good little boy. And went all night with no accidents the last two nights.

All good today in the mad house. :)

We are delighted to have Scrappy come and join our family. He is just too cute to let go. But more than that him and Abby get on so well which is so important. Now we have 2 DID dogs and unless we win thelotto and get a bigger house, thats our lot. Scrappy has just noticed fish in the Aquariam we have and his little head is tilting from side to side, he is such a funny little man.

Thanks to everyone who made it possible to have this little man.

    Mary & Gerry.

No worries I will probably drive you mad with updates. :)

Fantastic news. After seeing the picture of Scrappy on the back of the couch it looked like he had already decided he wasn’t moving home again! It just took you and Gerry a little longer to realise it   Wishing you all a long and happy life together.

    Congrats that’s great news :)
I have to say Abby look fantastic with a great shiny coat.
She choose her new boyfriend herself, it’s amazing how one dog will just click with them and that’s the one to keep otherwise you would always regret letting that one go.
    Lots of updates now.
Don’t worry about the separation anxiety yet as it’s early days.
If after three to four weeks it continues then it’s time to address it but not yet, there is too much change and adjustment happening at the moment and it needs to happen for everyone to slot into their space and routine. :)

    Hi,

Well Mr. Scrappy has made himself well and truly at home. No more jumps when there is a noise, now we get a bark !!! He is in and out and up and down like he owns the place, he is so funny. He is loving all the attention he is getting and all the people telling him he is gorgeous. He has decided to eat better and will now attempt to finish off Abby’s dinner if she dares leave her bowl . But she soon tells him off, so he barks at her. Its like a child always wanting the last word, thats our Scrappy.

I have brushed and combed him and he is fine after a while as long as I dont touch his face, he absolutely hates it. Unfortunately around his eyes and mouth do need a bit more attention which he doesnt like. But it has to be done and he is learning. Like Abby this wee fella loves his comfort. He will find the warmest most comfy spot and go fast asleep for ages, you can see this from below pics. The one on the chair on the fleece is so funny, The fleece was still warm from the dryer and put there for a bit while the bed was being made. Up he pops and closes the eyes, the cheeky monkey. Abby and him are doing fine and there are few cross noises between them now as they sort out their place.

Scrappy is off tomorrow to the vet to get stitches out and check up. I think there is only one stitch left and the wound looks well healed.

    Hi there,

This is scrappy here tonight. Well its just 4 weeks since I came to live with my human family and my sister Abby. It was all very strange at first getting used to my new house and people and my sis. In the beginning Abby kept giving me funny things. They looked like animals , long ones, short ones, hairy ones, rubber ones but one one had a squeak. I liked that one   I only learnt that I can play with them with Abby. I didnt know about these "toy" things before and now we have great fun chasing around with them and wrestling . Abby is much bigger than me and at first I thought she would eat me with her big jaws cos when we played my head fitted in her mouth   But she has promised me she is only playing and will never hurt me on purpose. Anyway if she does I will nip her ear and run !!!!

Sometimes we sleep together, but that gets very hot so we stretch out on the floor to cool down. At night I sleep in my lovely little bed that Mum told me a lady called Kathy said I could keep. Thanks Kathy ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

I dont really cry anymore when people go out of the room because they always come back. I didnt know this in the beginning, it was a bit confusing. I do like to bark a lot when I am not getting attention. These people should really be talking to me all the time. Last weekend some people came to stay and they were very busy talking so I just had to keep barking to remind them I was here. I got in trouble and my Mum said she would have to do something about this behaviour !!!! Dunno what that meant. Abby does it too but im only little and have to do it for longer, well just because !!!

This morning we were told, thats Abs and me that there was a lady coming to see us to put manners on us. I asked Abs if she knew what that was all about but she didnt. Then I remembered last weekend and wondered if thats what it was all about.

A lady called Emmaline came this evening and made me and Abs do lots of things that made us bark, and then put us in and out of the house, sometimes gave us sausages and sometimes not. Then I got it. If I was bold and barked at the bell or when the lady went to leave. I got put outside until I stopped then I got a bit of sausage. That was yummy  So it was in and out for ages and sausages and oh such a busy evening. In the end Emmaline said I was a very good dog and Abby too, and she went home. We didnt bark when she said goodbye cos we might get more sausages, and we did, hurrah !!!! Abby and me were very tired after this long lesson and had dinner and went to bed . We had a little chat and decided we liked the lady. Mum is cooking sausages tonight, I can smell them. So maybe tomorrow is going to be another busy day. We dont mind if we get sausages. ;) ;) ;)

So if you have a naughty dog , Emmaline is really nice and will help you give sausages to your dog and make them good. Its really good fun, but very tiring. So now Im off to bed to dream of nice things.

Thank you DID for my new home, my bed and the nice humans and sister I live with. Im a very happy little scrappy now. :D :D

Perhaps the lovely Emmaline could come down to Kilkenny and put some manners on my little Henry who barks at anything even thinking of moving especially birds and tractors.

Scappy is such a cutie :D Abbie looks happy to have a play mate and partner in crime. Those sausage dinners sound yummy. I must try some sausage as a reward for good behaviour for my four. I find once one dog barks the other three join in  Delighted to see how relaxed and happy young Scappy looks. Well done Mary, he is a lucky doggie ;)
