Well Bonnie and Oscar are with us a month this weekend. In one way it seems at alot longer (but in a good way). They have settled into our house and routine so well, it’s great. They are great little pals and have great playtime together
Like many of the other foster/ rescue stories the difference in the last few weeks is incredible. In particular Oscar has just found his confidence and happiness, he’s a great fella and just loves people and other dogs, which is such a difference from the little fellow who arrived with us St. Patricks weekend from the pound. At the time he didn’t really want to be touched or looked at and would hide under the table, but thankfully he has come out of his shell so much
Bonnie is a typical little pup and is great fun to have around.
When we decided to foster/adopt we had been looking to home a similar type dog to what we had previously being a lab /lab x, but due to differing circumstances it was looking like we would need to get 2 dogs for company for each other, and along came this pair
They have certainly brought much needed life back into the house
They are such a hardy little pair and they love their walks hail, rain or shine which is great as we love walking too and they are great with other dogs and people. We would like to thank Cathy and Claire for considering us for fostering these little lads and also thank you to Mark and the team in Terenure Vets for taking care of them so well over their neutering procedure.

Just a few updated photos of Oscar and Bonnie who are a great little pair of characters and really fun to have around. Their lovely friendly personalities are coming out more and more. The hair has started to grow back on Oscar’s nose which hopefully is a sign that he is relaxed and happy in his new home.

Just a few new photos of Bonnie and Oscar. ![]()
Oscars hair has pretty much fully grown back on his nose to the way it should be. He looks so different to the little man that arrived with us St. Patricks weekend, straight from the pound. Bonnie is a happy little girl and full of fun.

Just a couple of updated photos of Oscar and Bonnie who are doing very well. Apart from Oscars recent drama
He started to limp on Sunday evening so with no improvement by Monday evening he was off to the vets. It turns out that the poor boy had an infection under the nail of his little toe on his front paw. Unfortunately the vet had to remove the nail
But he is now on the mend and getting plenty of TLC. Bonnie was very good and stayed with him in the vets to keep him company.
He was delighted when he came around from the anesthetic to have her with him

Oscar and are Bonnie doing great, hard to believe they’re just over 5 months with us now. Poor Oscar’s nail bed infection went on for nearly a month and the poor lad had to wear a head collar right through all the hot weather back in July, but he didn’t complain ![]()
Some updated photos. ![]()

Came accross a photo of Oscar and Bonnie when they were only a week or so with us (middle photo – i think) , we had forgotten how sad and frightened they looked back then. Glad to say they are in great form and looking good 6 months on.
