photo (5).JPGNovember 11, 2013 at 10:08 am #117986kaydoyleMemberRex has a lovely personality. Taken him to hockey and gymnastics training with me where he has interacted with other dogs and kids, very friendly.
Everyone he has met so far has commented on his delightful nature. best a family with children, experienced dog owner, another dog for company would be the ideal for him.

Update 17th Nov. Rex gets on very well with other dogs. He loves going to the dog park to meet his buddies, whether big or small. He loves being groomed and washed unlike Charlie my dog who runs for her life when she sees the dog shampoo out. The beauty of bathing Rex is that he fits into the kitchen sink. Sarah my 10 year old loves taking him for a walk as she can manage him on the lead.Update 20th Nov.
Rex loves his morning and afternoon walks with Sarah. In the evenings, he likes to cuddle. He loves to be groomed. He is very agile and quick on his feet.

Charlie also happy to see him. Sarah says that perhaps Charlie was more excited by the dog food that we got at the vets than Rex. Hopefully, someone will fall in love with him and give him a new home.
December 4, 2013 at 9:46 pm #118313yongmeiMemberRex has by osmosis developed some of Charlie’s tricks. Today he decided he did not want his dinner. To check if something was wrong, I cut up a little bit of ham and mixed it through his food. Miraculously he regained his appetite. Charlie does this from time to time when she is bored.
December 5, 2013 at 9:15 pm #118171yongmeiMemberHuge number of dogs in Deerpark dog park today when we brought Rex and Charlie. Met some old friends such as Cassie, Maja and Max who was rather perturbed by the cone on Rex’ s head. Rex was happy running around and chasing the ball. He came home for his dinner ( he ate all his greens .. reluctant veggie eaters take note) and then spent the rest of the evening curled up on my lap. Looking forward to his stitches coming out and getting rid of lampshade on his head. Wonder what he is going to make of Christmas tree when it goes up.
December 9, 2013 at 8:03 pm #118374yongmeiMemberMessage from me Rex today as opposed to Sandra who likes to spend too much time on internet per me and Sarah. Finally got rid of that pesky cone. Freedom at last.. thank goodness. I am a lovely handsome charming boy who needs a forever home. Rest assured if you decide in me, I Will shower you with kisses .. no need for a facecloth , water and soap with me around .. your own personal groomer. Would miss Charlie.. think she has fallen a little bit in love with me but who wouldn’t when faced with such a fine specimen as me!

photo.JPGDecember 31, 2013 at 5:55 pm #118700yongmeiMemberThis Christmas thing is very exciting. Getting to spend a lot of time with Sandra who is getting up very early in the morning to do some work on that dreaded laptop. I am doing my best to distract her but she is spurning my charms.. have to turn my attention to Charlie who is pretending she does not like me but secretly she sleeps with me at night. I think that Sandra has found that the lady does protest too much.
Sarah, Charlie, Sandra and I are having fun times in the dog park every day. All the dog owners are meeting up with their pets. Have met two cute little JRT pups this week .. Bella and Pippy but they are very annoying.. one of them cannot take No for an answer. My sheer personality and magnetism is just so overwhelming. As you can see, modesty is not my strong point. Check out my photo on the skateboard. I’ll be like Marmaduke .. on the surf board next in Lahinch if I am lucky! Happy New Year to you all and hopefully a new home for me.
January 2, 2014 at 7:52 pm #118726yongmeiMemberManaged to escape from the back garden today.. found another escape route. Sandra was not too impressed but I was outside the garden gate barking to get in. She was very relieved. She and Sarah took Charlie to the dog park before the weather started to get really bad. Had fun with Cody a charming Labrador, Maya and Buddy running around and chasing the ball before heading home to my dinner. Charlie got this new fancy bowl which is supposed to slow down her eating, it’s a bit like a maze. Her nose is so big that she cannot get at all her food but needless to say I manage to save the day. My little snout can work its way into the tiniest of places and I had great fun eating the rest. I do not give Charlie a chance to eat my food, not that she needs it as she is a bit on the chubby side and despite what Sandra says, it is not all hair.
