She came home with me yesterday and she has settled in straight away.. She loves the kids and she is full of kisses and cuddles for everyone, tail wagging all the time.. She wants to play with my 3 dogs her but so far only 1 of them, Trixy has made her welcome but she doesnt care.. The other 2 will in time.. She is a typical puppy with bursts of energy and clumsy moves and then she just flakes out to sleep.. Will get more photos of her today..

When she first arrived she had no patience and was hyper .. i could not place my 3 dogs food down for them as she would devour her own and then move on to theirs, but now she knows that hers is hers and theirs is theirs.. She is a clever little thing and learns very fast.. She has learned to sit down for her food instead of hopping and leaping around knocking everything over and today she has learned to give the paw.. We still have a little way to go with the toilet training but I can see her getting there soon enough.. She loves the kids, hanging around with David while he is studying for his Junior Cert……She will get on great with a family with kids or other dogs.. I hope she finds a forever home soon so her family can enjoy her growing up, with all the clumsy funny things she does..
Here is a few pics

Well, Peaches is a real character and the most loving of dogs.. She loves to be by your side and she would rather lie on the floor at your feet than lie in one of the comfy beds, although she can just flake out anywhere.. Sometimes she snores when she is asleep and is so funny to listen to…. The toilet training is coming along.. Most times now she will just go out the back and do her business and then trot back in to the house…
She is going to make someone the most wonderful loyal companion ever.. If you have any questions about her please just post on the thread and I will answer..

She scoffed all her breakie and has spent the morning wrestling with Rocky She has lots of energy like all lab puppies and will need to go to a home where she gets regular walks.

Another gift for me this morning but she’ll grow out of that. She’s pretty good on the lead for her age but she’s easily distracted. She doesn’t drag you down the road but does want to stop and say to every man, woman, child and four legged friend. Everyone thinks she is stunning!!

Not sure whether its the playing with Rocky, my power walking or the heat but she loves her sleep!!! She is going to be a big girl if her paws are any indication. She gets really excited when we come down the stairs in the morning which is lovely. She isn’t at all snappy like a lot of puppies and would make a wonderful addition to an active household.

Her day consists of wrestling, sleeping, eating, sleeping, more wrestling, cuddling, eating, a brisk walk in the evening and then surprise surprise more sleeping She is a very sociable girl so i’d love to see her go to a home with another dog but if you have an active household and can offer her lots of exercise and mental stimulation then she’d make a brilliant addition to your home.

When it was bedtime she climbed straight in to bed on top of Rocky Heard her bark for the first time today, she was copying Buster who was warning the workmen on the roof 2 doors up to keep out. It was hilarious to watch!!!

She met dogs of all shapes and sizes from Jack Russells to a Mountain Dog(huge) and was phased by none of them. When we stopped to watch the dogs jumping in and out of the sea off the jetty, I could tell she wanted to join in We were stopped by several admirers with young kids and her manners were impeccable. The joggers fascinated her and she tried to run after a few of them as they passed by. She slept all the way home in the car….

She will be heading off to her forever home tomorrow and I have to admit I’m really gonna miss her. She has been an absolute joy to foster but I know she’s going to a wonderful home.
2011-07-14 21.00.00.jpgJuly 17, 2011 at 10:36 am #105745robroosMemberYesterday 16 July the day finally arrived when we could bring our newest family member home. Peaches now Jessy, is simply adorable. We had a long drive ahead of us from Dublin to Dingle and did not know what to expect with a 6 month old puppy.
She was the best!!! The first hour she layed on my lap in the car (normally not something I would advise) but it was perfect for Jessy to get familiar with our scent. While she was lying on my lap, totally relaxed she kept touching Rob my husband who was driving either with her nose or paws. After about an hour, we took our first stop and after that we put her in the back of the car, she was soo good, she only tried to climb up to us about 4 times and after some stern but gentle corrections she settled and fell asleep. It took us 6 hours to drive back home and not once did she get upset in any way. Almost at the end of the drive, we stopped at the pet shop for a new collar, we took her in to measure and all the staff were at her command, she is too cute to resist.
When we got home, and introduced her to her new house, it was like a warzone We have 2 cats and they were the only ones who did not sucumbe to her charmes But after about an hour they have agreed on some ground rules as only animals can.
Her lovely foster mom told us we probably would some difficulties during the night because it would be the first time she would be without doggie companions, but were we in for a surprise.
We introduced her to a crate which we had set up at the foot end of the bed and after 10 minutes of trying to convince us, she needed to be on the bed with us, she settled for the night without any problems what so ever. No accidents over the night and when we carried her downstairs and went outside with her, she did a very long pee and a big number 2. She is such a good little girl.
We love her to bits, I did not think I would be ready so quickly for a new doggie after we lost our other girl just a few weeks ago. They can never be replaced, but Jessy is never meant to be a replacement, she is a new beginning for all of us. While I am writing this, she lays under the desk just being Jessy, which means just being happy. She is a smart boisterous little thing and we can not get enough her. This morning we took her for a walk on the beach and let her off leash for the first time, although we will need to work on the fact that she runs towards every people and every dog she encounters, she was more than happy to return to us.
I think it was the little treats we slipped into our pockets just in case We will keep you posted about how she is doing, but one thing is for sure, after just one day, she has a never ending huge place in our heart!
