This lovely little girl is approx 1 to 2 yrs old. She is small in size and fully grown. She is gone into foster with Jim (thanks a million) who will update soon Thanks a million to Estelle for collecting her from Meath and dropping her to ”Doggy Doos” for a groom courtesy of Martina
nina.jpgApril 1, 2011 at 12:21 am #104400dogdudeMemberWow what a day,
my 1st time fostering and I was excited and nervousLittle Nena is a beaut. What a lovely little dog. She is a right character and I’v only had her a few hours. I’m looking forward to reporting all my findings!
She was super excited today and full of beans as to be expected but she is now sleeping peacefully in her bed.
She and my little dog Sparky got acquainted and they seem to get on a little too good! It will be interesting to see how their ‘relationship’ develops!
Bed for me now, will write more soon.Ps. Whatever family gets this dog are in for a real treat! She is so nice and great fun.
Pps. Thanks to Kay for organising this and to Martina who did a brill job as Nina’s coat is so soft and she smells lubly jubly

April 1, 2011 at 9:53 am #104409laineyMemberShe looks gorgeous! It’s amazing what a good old shampoo and trim can do. Well done!
April 1, 2011 at 3:32 pm #104413seodraMemberWow ! She really scrubbed up well. A little beauty.
I picked her up from Meath yesterday and I had a feeling under all the grime from the pound that she would turn out to be a little stunner. You did a great job Martina.
She ‘eventually’ sat happily in the car beside me yesterday – but insisted on sitting in the Passenger seat beside me – no back seats for Nina !!! She looks like she is used to travelling in a car – was very keen to stick her nose out through the window and breathe the fresh air.
She is so cute. Gave me the paw several times when I spoke to her and when the car was stopped at traffic lights.
She’ll be a great addition to any family I think.
Good luck little girly!
April 3, 2011 at 10:57 pm #104464dogdudeMemberNina is a really friendly little dog. I was amazed at how well mannered she is in every respect. I had heard you have to be careful removing food from a stranger dog. I realised how nice Nina is when after she began to eat my dogs food I was able to move her away with not so much as a growl.
She is also really smart, always giving me her paw and I expect someone could teach her lots of tricks. She is really fast, certainly compared to my 10 yr old shit tzu who isn’t really paying much attention to her & has lots of energy and loves to be the centre of attention.
Nina is besotted with my budgies, she can’t think of anything else other than their little chirping bright colours. I tried introducing her calmly to them but she is just WAY to excited! She really has a thing for birds and tries to chase them in the garden and when on walks.
Another of her silly obsessions is when there is a reflection on the ground she goes crazy trying to catch it I had my watch on yesterday sitting outside on the deck and it took me a while to work out what was the invisible source of amusement for her!

Well done you with your first foster dog.
She really looks so happy and contented.
Little Shih-Tzu man looks very cute and so well cared for.
Thanks for the updates and photos as this is really important in finding the dogs their new home.April 5, 2011 at 7:49 pm #104520martinacareyMemberAw she looks so lovely in the pics and I’m so happy she’s fitting in well with Sparky! I’m glad you’ve settled into your job as foster daddy so well Jim!!
April 7, 2011 at 4:27 pm #101443calanMemberWell done Jim, she is indeed a beauty! How is she getting on? Sure you have plenty of fun times with her
April 13, 2011 at 12:27 pm #102377dogdudeMemberSorry no update in a while but Nina has lots of news
Nina is getting lots of TLC at the moment because she was at the vets yesterday to get her little lady operation. She was a bit sore and sad yesterday but she is feeling better today and getting lots of rest and little treats and attention
Sparky is on orders to look after his little sister and not jump up and play with her too much!
Nina has met her new adoption family on Saturday and can’t wait to move to Dunboyne with Alex, Jessica, Bernie & Kevin in about 10 days!
Nina is such a sweetheart of a dog, so trusting, happy and playful. It will be very difficult for us when she leaves but we know she will make another family super happy and we will keep in touch
May 2, 2011 at 12:05 pm #101997SmithFamilyMemberWell we have had Nina since Tuesday April 26th and she has settled in so well to her new forever home. She really is a gentle little thing and she is so good. She loves going for her walks and playing in the garden. She still chases her own shadow which is hilarious to see. Jim did a great job with her while he had her in foster care and we plan to keep in touch with him. I would also like her to see Jim’s dog Sparky as she got on great with him.We will post up some photos of her soon in her forever home. We are all so happy with her.
