April 18, 2011 at 10:49 pm #104765DID RescueKeymasterGreat photos It shows how pretty she is.
As she is still only a baby hopefully her new family are not too far awayMay 11, 2011 at 9:47 pm #103856tanyaMemberWe had the pleasure of looking after this little lady for two weekends … she is an absolute dote so gentle loves any bit of attention. she was very nervous of Millie when she arrived, not so much of Roxy as she is alot calmer but within 40mins the 3 where running around like lunatics.
She is very patiant around food and great on the lead. She is very much a people dog although she loved her run arounds with the other two she much prefared to sit wit my self or when I was out running round wit them. Unfortunately I have lost my memory card so have no photos to post but fingers crossed I find it and I will post them straight away.
June 5, 2011 at 12:15 pm #105363LuvMyFurKidsMemberWell this wonderful woofwoof went off to her forever home in the West!
Her new mum and dad collected her and they headed off for the big road trip home and Nala was the perfect passenger. She has already put her paw mark on their hearts by the sound of things and if either them go in the opposite direction she is torn on who to follow.
Her mum is going to send on photos soon, Nala’s new life is full of forrests walks, huge garden with bridges and ponds tonnes for her to explore.
They wanted to say a huge thank you to every in D.i.D but especially Jay, Aoife and their girls for doing a wonderful fostering job with their beautiful girl Nala.
June 8, 2011 at 10:59 pm #105429LuvMyFurKidsMemberAn update from Nala’s new home.
We are being entertained by our new young friend. It is a long time since we had a puppy and she is keeping us on our toes, which is great. We had never heard of the name Nala and it didn’t mean anything to us, although we were told it was a name from a film, so we tried to find a name that we liked that sounded a bit like Nala. We came up with Clara which she recognizes when she is called, so success there.
She has settled in so well it is remarkable. It is though she has known us for ever although she must miss her foster family all the same. I took her to the vet yesterday for a general check up and chat. She has given Clara the canine cough vaccine and we are keeping her at home for three days until she is really immune. She was great with both people and other dogs at the vets.
Until we can go for walks she has plenty of space to run around with us outside and has had great runs and is discovering all the nooks and crannies of our wild garden. She wasn’t sure about the bridge Sean had built over his pond, but once he called her over she enjoyed going over it and discovering what is beyond. She is very much a people dog and wants to be with one or other of us all the time, staying with us when we are working in the garden. I am looking forward to her coming with me for walks at the week-end and meeting my family and the dogs who she will get to know well.
Credit must go to her foster parents for doing such a good job with her. She is so trusting and is house trained and has been taught to sit and lie down and come when called. For a six month old she is very well behaved and a joy to have around.
She is lying at my feet as I write this with her long legs stretched out and her black coat shining.
I will send photos in due course.
June 21, 2011 at 9:03 pm #105588LuvMyFurKidsMemberThese were taken when she arrived. The first one was when Sean called her across the bridge of the miniature canal that he built in the garden. Clara wasn’t at all sure about it at first. She now runs across it all the time.
The second is her smelling the foxgloves in the wild garden.
She was like the perfect house guest for the first week and is still a dream. She is very bright and is exploring everything and getting bolder although still very well behaved for a six month old. I take her for a good walk every day now and these past two days she has been with three other dogs who were off lead. She loved them all and would no doubt have liked to be free running as well. I’ll give her a couple more weeks on lead before letting her off. When in the garden she is very good about coming when called, and on the end of her extending lead she comes back to me when I ask her and will sit or lie down on command. Long may it last.
She has put on weight and we think she has got taller!

August 20, 2011 at 2:21 pm #106110LuvMyFurKidsMemberSpoke with Clara’s mum while she was out on a forrest walk with two and four legged friends. She has got a good bit bigger and is a pleasure to have as part of their family.
