Misty is doing great. We met one of the dog owners (who had met us on our first walk) yesterday and he remarked on how much more confident she is :D She has found her own spot in the garden…on top of the old kennel outside the kitchen window and sits watching me wash the dishes  Came home the other day to find her asleep on it!!! She loves company and other dogs.

Misty had her Op (spayed) today and I’m glad to report all went well. When I collected her she was drowsy but still full of kisses. She slept all the way home and after some welcome home sniffing she is unconscious on the couch :D

Misty is doing great although the others aren’t too pushed abour the cone which Misty seems to forget about, she has bashed everyone several times!!! She went to my Mums yesterday while I was in work and was good as gold. She seems to be thriving on the extra attention and cuddles xx

The beautiful Misty has found her voice over the last couple of days :D :D She doesn’t chase or fetch the ball but will chase my lot as they do barking on the way   She likes to chase birds and today when a magpie landed on the big kennel while she was perched on the other kennel facing it(20 ft gap) I thought she was going to attempt the jump to get it!! She has discovered looking out the front window at the kids playing on the green and every now and again will start barking and then all four dogs will have to have a look to see what happening, still trying to get a photo of that ;) She has learned "sit" and does so automatically for her dinner now, she knows "out" when they all go out the garden but for some reason "down" is not working and she will tirelessly persist to get up beside you for a cuddle and kisses, we are working on it but with so many other dogs around training can be difficult. Misty would make a fabulous second dog as she adores other dogs and never sleeps alone

Misty is still an absolute pleasure to have around..she’s still really bouncy but i think its just her way of fighting for attention over my lot  I’d love her to find a forever home with a doggy companion.

    What a fantastic photo. :)
How did they all manage to be laid out in such an orderly manner :P

I love this photo, Misty couldn’t be any safer, it just shows how accepting my lot are of the new arrivals that come and go. You can see how important foster homes are to getting the doggies ready for there forever home. Being around their own kind brings out the best in them ;)

I thought i’d give you a break from me harping on about the fabulous Misty. She is still by far the most affectionate dog i have ever come across and will make it her mission to seek out any available uncovered skin to kiss to death, she also has the deepest warmest brown eyes ever!!!! I think i’ve figured out what she is crossed with……a kangaroo. Its her only flaw, she still will jump all around you first thing in the morning or when you arrive home or when she sees you coming to the door to let them in from the garden…and i’ve never seen a dog bounce so high…..its amazing!!!! But she’s starting to figure out i’ll only pet or talk to her when she sits down. She also adores her walks and will stand still to get her lead on. Another thing is she’s super gentle taking treats from your hand which isn’t the norm in my house. I know ther’s someone out there just waiting to give Misty a home of her own

Well my Misty Moo arrived home from her weekend trip to the countryside :D As always she was full of hugs and kisses and seemed excited to see us. We were delighted to hear she got on great with all the other dogs of every size and took a particular liking to the 2 resident jack russells  She is full of energy and would really thrive in an active house with a canine companion. She is now curled up on Jays lap fast asleep.

Have been very bold not posting lately but when you have a job, 4 big dogs to walk and a teenager sometimes you get distracted   I’ve been questioning Mistys age (the Pound told us 18 months) for a bit now due to her flightiness and her slight build. After her trip to the countryside Dave too found it hard to believe she was 18 months, so today while out for a walk we took a detour into a vet who kindly had a quick look at Mistys gnashers and confirmed our suspicions that indeed our little beauty is only a pup of about 10/11 months and hasn’t even got her full set of teeth yet. This explains alot of her silly behaviour is because she’s still a baby!!! So usually pups move to the "dogs needing homes" pile…..Misty will be doing the opposite :D

So much for Misty not liking the rain, put the pack outside in the rain for a loo break (reluctantly I might add) only to discover Misty sitting on her usual perch outside the kitchen window in the absolute lashings of rain while the others took refuge in their log cabin of a kennel. This weather has let me see that Misty still loves her walks rain or shine. Now that we know she is only a baby some of her little quirks make a little more sense like the fact that she likes to sit or lie on top of the other dogs…..something only the ever patient Rocky will only allow ;)

Misty is still great….needs some training but is so desperate for affection that she will thrive on some one to one time. She had loads of fun today with her kong and a tug rope but still her favourite game is wrestling :D And she still loves her kisses and cuddles….
