This beautiful girl was surrendered to the pound and was due to be put to sleep. Thanks a million to Marie (3 lab lady) for taking her into foster ;)

This gorgeous girl arrived this evening and was a little nervous at first but who can blame her after a week in the pound :( There is still a bit of tension with Bully Boy Buster as she hasn’t bowed down to "His Highness" yet  She doesn’t seem to be used to being inside and is like a newborn Bambi on the wooden floors. We went out into the garden for some fun and she was a different dog….. running, jumping and tail wagging. She is very affectionate and can’t give you enough kisses xx

Good Morning.. I am always slighty dubious walking out to the landing the morning after a new foster has moved in, firstly as to whether I will be greeted by torn up beds or unpleasant scented gifts and secondly in case my lot ate the poor soul while I slept, delighted to reports neither of these happened during the night. Misty cried for about 20 mins and at one point I thought she might clamber over the stair gate but she eventually nodded off. She is out the back with the boys while i make breakfast and although there have been a couple of squabbles (lasting seconds) its mainly because Buster likes to make it clear who is boss ;) but she is not whining or scratching the door to come back in. Will update how she is on walks later

I think I’m falling in love and with my dog food bills I may be divorced before I’m Married if this beauty doesn’t find her forever home soon   Misty is just soooooo lovely. All she is short of doing is getting into my jumper with me, she is extra affectionate and just wants to be close to you. I think she would be better suited to a house with another dog or someone home full time. She can be quite boisterous and doesn’t seem to know any commands, we are working on "sit" and she is getting there slowly ;) Funnily enough she is not very food driven, having spat out both chicken and raw carrot…which are firm favourites with my lot and she will just walk away from her bowl mid meal much to Rockys delight!!!! We had no whining or accidents last night so she is obviously housetrained. She is a nutter in the garden but quite relaxed in the house which is a great combination. She does like to follow you from room to room and find a spot to lie down close by. Her only fault so far is also one of her main qualities she is always trying to get closer to you :D :D

Great photos of this sweet girl :)
When I collected her from the pound she was sooo good, very quiet and no bouncing around which is unusual after being locked up for 24 hours a day.
This girl was a surrender but not because of anything she did……poor girl.
I have to say there is just something about her that just makes you want to love her and mind her and it seems she has the same plan :P

Its her eyes that make you fall for her they are the biggest brownest puppy dog eyes ever and when she looks at you, you can only imagine what she is thinking about her world being turned upside down ending up in the pound. I brought her for a walk last night and she was like a new puppy nervous excited curious, she was all over the place….i’m sure we looked ridiculous!!! One good thing she didn’t pull on the lead. She kept walking against me so maybe she is used to walking with another dog beside her. But we’ll walk her on her own for a while to try kick the habit. When we got home she went to bed for the night!!!! One other funny thing is she doesn’t play with toys and there are a plenty to choose from in this house, she doesn’t chase a ball or chew a squeeky which is odd for her age but a few more days with my gang should show her the way. Anyway all in all she’s wonderful.

I could take photos of Rocky and Misty all day, they are sooooooo cute together, Misty is our first foster who hasn’t tormented him to bits!!! I know I sound like a broken record, but she is wonderful. She greets me delighted to see me in the mornings, she doesn’t eat like a bottomless pit, she loves playing in the garden and is totally relaxed in the house, sleeps all night and is house trained…She still hasn’t played with any toys and is a bit nuts on the lead but she is so desperate for affection and approval that it won’t take long to iron out these tiny problems. I’m going to get some Kong puppy paste today to see if that might arouse her interest :D :D :D

Apologies for the lack of posts…its been all go the last few days. My poor Misty developed a cough and my heart went out to her, hacking like she smoked 60 a day!!! But with a little honey, some medicine and a lot of tlc she is over the worst of it and it only seems to happen when she’s over excited :D :D Delighted to say she is getting better on the lead. We have met a good few dogs of all breeds and sizes and although she is a little nervous at first after a couple of minutes she wants to play I got so excited yesterday when we discovered her playing with the remains of a tug of war toy we had bought….remains because the boys had spent a good hour destroying it between them   She is such a chilled out dog in the house once she finds a comfy spot as close to you as possible…..

Misty is over her cough and loving life, she has started to sit on the window sill, on top of one of the kennels or the garden table to watch the world go by. She is great on the lead and now sits on command and has started to play with toys, she loves the Kong and her nylabone!!!!! She is still really bouncy when she sees you for the first time in the morning or when you come home so would be better with older children.

Hahaha…..the only time i can get good photos is when they snooze, any action shots are just blurs   And as for that kissy face she is more than happy to oblige. We are trying to teach her that she only gets attention when she is calm or sitting down but she gradually climbs up paw by paw until she can cover your face with the best doggie kisses :D

So finally I have some awake shots. I’ve been taking training classes with Buster and I got a great tip on how to keep your dog occupied if you have to go out or just to keep them busy. Invest in a kong then measure out your dogs dry food pour some boiling water over it, allow it to cool and then mash it into the kong and pop it into the freezer overnight. Then instead of giving them their meal in a bowl give them the Kong. It was a huge success as the photos show :D
