Everything is going great with Kaiah! We have her just over a year now. She was called Mia when we adopted her, she was one of Marge’s 6 pups, but we renamed her when we got her home. She is has so much energy it’s incredible! Kaiah is a loveable rogue. She has been causing a lot of mischief in the house as she loves to chew on plastic so a lot of things have gone missing! She has turned out to be a real beauty though and she has the most gorgeous coloured coat. She loves getting out for a run – especially going down to the beach and has started to swim recently. She keeps everyone on their toes in the house! Whenever we take her out people stop to admire her. She is extremely friendly as well and loves meeting new people (and dogs!). We took her to a beginners course in obedience with John Ward out in Swords and she really loved it. She is so much happier when she is working and training, so we’re going to continue lessons. John said she would make an excellent agility dog, so that’s a possibility in the future!
My whole family would like to thank Dogs In Distress for everything. You made the whole experience so easy and all of your volunteers are incredibly dedicated and so genuine about their love for dogs. It was lovely to see. Kaiah was taken such good care of while she was out in foster homes and she was so healthy and happy when she came to us. You really do excellent work there, so thank you from us and Kaiah!
