March 14, 2013 at 8:02 pm #114493cargMemberLelia is a timid little baby. She’s very gentle, too nervous to leave her kennel. We spent more time with her than the others as she was just so sad.

March 18, 2013 at 11:34 pm #114552DID RescueKeymasterI met this tiny girl today and she is so scared she crawls along the ground.
She is one of these dogs that are apologising for existing.
She has not had a good time so far in her short life, her coat where it should be white is yellow and so dry and two of her teeth are broken.
When she met the two children today she was so submissive and grateful for any attention.
Both of the children were very thoughtful and sensitive towards her which was so nice to see.
I hope she thrives in her foster home as she really deserves it.
I look forward to hearing how she is getting on.March 19, 2013 at 12:42 pm #114480ILoveLucyMemberPoor little dote – she just looks so sad in the photos
March 19, 2013 at 4:04 pm #114511IndiannaMemberI am a bit heartbroken about this poor little puppy dog, look forward to hearing about her and seeing some nice photos as she progresses towards a happy life
March 19, 2013 at 7:52 pm #114267NatashaMemberSo glad that Lelia is in foster. We met her at the pound and our hearts broke for her. She was petrified. She is a gentle & timid little soul who deserves a loving family of her own. Delighted she is safe in the hands of a Dogs in Distress foster family whom we are sure will help build her confidence. Lelia is a special little girl.
March 19, 2013 at 10:08 pm #114556BabyfeetMemberOh the poor little thing!! I am looking for a friend for my 20 month old beagle Kaia, so I would be very interested in talking to you about giving Lelia a new home where she would have to suffer snuggles, hugs kisses and treats on a ongoing basis!!! Please contact me any time.
March 25, 2013 at 3:53 pm #114646NiamhMKeoghMemberPoor little lady. How is she getting on in foster? Has she come out of her shell?
March 27, 2013 at 8:53 pm #114695IndiannaMemberI really shouldn’t be looking but can’t help it. Any news of Lelia’s progress. Her photos make me sad but know things are on the up. Hate the thought of whatever horrible life she had before now.
March 31, 2013 at 11:59 am #114757TPDMemberLeila is doing very well and is settling in nicely. She is beginning to come out of her shell and enjoys walks twice a day, and plenty of food. She came for a long walk in the Dublin mountains on Friday in the snow and had a ball of a time. She was initially nervous of the walking group but quickly realised she was amongst friends. She loved the snow (and John’s ham sandwiches) and met plenty of other dogs. She is well socialised with other dogs and walks beautifully on the lead. Off the lead she quickly learned to come when called (doggy treats did the trick). Suitably tired she slept for the afternoon. Its now two weeks since she came to live with us and she is only now getting up the courage to leave her bed and wander around the house. She is in receipt of plenty of TLC from the kids and is keen to reciprocate. Will post pictures soon
April 1, 2013 at 9:30 am #114769TPDMemberJusst back from our morning run. Happy to run around the park without the lead. Had great fun .
Came back home and having a rest in front of a warm radiator. barked for the first time in two weeks yesterday. Beginning to settle in very well.
