I used to work in that field alright but, now just enjoy taking shots of my very favourite subjects!!
DeirdreGeorge and Gerry had their baths yesterday & were able to dry off in the beautiful sunshine. Gerry is such a pleasure to wash as he is just SO clean – dirt just doesn’t stick to his fur! George on the other hand – gets filthy very quickly – he was like a snowflake yesterday but, he already has 4 muddy boots today even though its a glorious day! Gerry is quite the model & poses away for his photos – George has something against cameras & disappears inside the house when I take it out, he’s always been that way ever since we got him so, I have to sneak photos of him in a surprise attack!

April 2011 035a.jpgI just HAD to post this photo of Gerry and his little kitten buddy Geno. I came into the room and there were the two of them asleep on Gerry’s bed. Gerry is absolutely fascinated with Geno and likes to be near him all of the time. Gerry and the older cat Gilson can now tolerate to be in the same room together, which is great progress!!

Yes, the Boy has mellowed a lot in the last while alright!
Still runs like the wind and very puppyish too, with a constant grin on his face. He really does love the little kitten and I think, he thinks he’s the same size too as Geno is (just teeny, tiny – soooo cute!). They run around the house like complete lunatics and then take a nice break and a little rest together!! Very, very fascinating to watch – I just looked at them (as they’ve suddenly gone quiet) and both the Boys are on their beds taking a little snooze with Geno napping on George’s bed, right up against his back legs!!!! That kitten has absolutely no fear whatsoever!!

Its really quite the ‘thing’ alright! I’m stunned to see him with the little kitten & still can’t quite believe it. He’s gotten so much better with Gilson too but, Gilson is 2 years old & still remains a little suspicious of him (as he’ll still chase him in the garden – its like a big game between the two of them).
The kitchen is ‘getting there’ – we almost have a complete ceiling over us now! I know that it’ll all be worth it in the end! (fingers crossed!!)

Gilson & Gerry.jpgJust a quick update to let everyone know how Gerry is getting on…. He’s doing great – he had a nice if uneventful summer: running, walking, chasing , messing and little snoozes after all his activity (he’s lying asleep next to me as I write). He is now totally fine with the cats & even lets the kitten sleep on his bed. He’s still chewing (anything he can find!!) from time-to-time but, way better than before – he really is just a mischievous pup who happens to reside in a ginormous body with a set of large sharp teeth! George and himself play all the time & have great fun altogether – its lovely to watch…..
