He met his new and equally huge brother George (biggest Old English Sheep Dog in Ireland for sure) and once off the leads they were like they knew each other all their lives. So the Ives family will be hanging another stocking up for filling from Santa as Jerry Lee will be in his new forever home for Christmas Day.

December 21, 2010 at 4:53 pm #103590eiredaveyMemberWell Jerry Lee is just gone to his new home in Co. Meath. Monty, Deirdre and their family, including big George are so lucky to have the pleasure of our big teddy for Christmas! They are a lovely family and we wish them all the best with their Christmas present! He gave us lots of fun and much more love and we are really going to miss him. Yazz is so sad
Hopefully we will get lots of updates and we send our love and best wishes to him and his new family. Congratulations xxxxxxJulie, Davey, Yazz and Mel xxxxxx
December 24, 2010 at 5:30 pm #87747GeorgeandGerryMemberHere is the lovely Boy in his new home!
He has fitted into life here with us very nicely and we are all completely smitten with him! He just loves his new brother George who in turn, just loves him right back!! It has actually been quite hard to get a good photo of them both together as they have been running & playing all the time and the photos turn out blurred from all that movement! We have changed his name slightly to Gerry with a "G" as George & Gerry go together quite nicely! We want to send a sincere thanks to Dave & Julie who are just some of the loveliest and caring people you could meet. I hope that Yazz and Mel are not missing him too much…… Thanks to Audrey & Marie as well – we really are delighted with Gerry and he’s now a part of our family.
Happy Christmas

December 29, 2010 at 2:14 am #94559DID RescueKeymasterThanks Deirdre for the great photos.
They all look so content and settled and the girls look great just like Santa’s little helpers. It’s fantastic that George is so happy with his new brother and hopefully they will have many years of chasing around the garden.
Christmas really did come early for George.
Thank you for giving this boy his second chance and a great Christmas.Marie.
December 29, 2010 at 10:26 pm #82140GeorgeandGerryMemberThanks Marie & Lainey,
Oh, he is just such a lovely boy altogether!
He is a dab-hand now at the doggy door which is great. He is just really a tiny little puppy inside a large body! He’s very smart & really inquisitive. He loves nothing better than to be with you at every moment of the day! We just hung a large mirror and he’s getting such fun out of posing in front of it – super cute! He’s getting used to the fact that the cat exists and one of these days that too shall sort itself out – Gilson is not that bothered anymore as he seems to sense that Gerry is really only a pup that he can command (being the king of the castle as, he knows he is!). I’ll take more photos shortly and keep you updated on his progress….
Happy New Year to All
DeirdreApril 4, 2011 at 4:19 pm #104486GeorgeandGerryMemberWell, Gerry has settled into his new home very nicely and we are all almost one big happy family! Gilson (the older cat) and himself don’t quite see ‘eye to eye’ as yet but, things are getting better by the day. We had a new addition in January Geno (a little abandoned kitten) – Gerry likes to lick him (tasting perhaps?!) & is not quite sure what exactly this very fast little black creature is! George and himself are getting along great & are truely brothers now. Gerry likes nothing better than a good run around in the garden, chasing a ball & having a good chew! He also loves some nice long walks in the forest & the weather has been so nice that he’s been able to be outside a lot, sitting in the sun and saying ‘hello’ to the local dogs as they pass by with their owners!!
