Absolutely!! Our big baby Sam ( dobermann x, we reckon ) used to give back cheek too when he was younger and he is a very bright and very loyal dog. So I reckon its a sign of a goodie! Sam is also very gentle and if Gizmo is like that also, it bodes very well for a great adult dog!
November 21, 2010 at 2:00 pm #102785amber133MemberGizmo is real cute and he has the cutest little squeaky bark when he wants something or while hes playing. A real softie who will be a treasure to any family as he just loves everyone.
November 23, 2010 at 2:50 pm #102862ColganFamilyMemberWell our handsome little (and getting bigger by the day!!! ) man was vaxed and microchipped today and he HOWLED!!! I have never met a dog more keen to talk than Giz. We have full conversations with him here and he adopts different little tones of voice depending on the conversation! if we give out or use a harsh tone, he gives out right back; if we talk softly and sweetly to him, he whimpers in response and he GAVE OUT BLUE MURDER to Kim today when she had the audacity to chip him he is an absolute riot and will be such an endearing, intelligent, loyal addition to any family lucky enough to home him
November 23, 2010 at 5:41 pm #102868animalhelperMemberIt’s true….. I’ve never in my life got such an ear bashing from a puppy! He gave out hell…. but who can blame him, right?
He is just A-dorable and you would never be lonely with him… he has great chats with you…. all he is short of is talking about the recession! And it wouldnt suprise me if he didNovember 27, 2010 at 2:06 pm #102947MutleyMemberGizmo, you sound like such a character! There would be no dull days with you around, for sure! You will make some lucky family very happy.
November 28, 2010 at 10:18 am #102981ColganFamilyMemberWell Gizmo had his first outing this morning up in snow filled Tymon Park and he LOVED IT!!! Must be the husky in him He looked like he wouldn’t be out of place pulling a little sled behind him. He ran along with the others, ate the snow (just like the others!), got involved in the tag game and had a ball. He is a fabulous little guy. He is comatose here on the couch snuggled up with Mollie – I reckon this morning is worth a few hours peace and quiet I was raging I didn’t have the camera with me today but I will try for some more pics asap.

November 28, 2010 at 7:24 pm #103012MutleyMemberSweet! Gizmo was clearly made for the snow.
December 1, 2010 at 1:38 pm #103096ColganFamilyMemberAnother couple of photos of this fab little guy in the snow. Gizmo is coming along brilliantly – eating like a horse, sleeping without a peep out of him all night, running wildly around Tymon Park on his morning walk and he has just about cracked the toilet training! He is an absolute joy to foster and he has been photographed on several mobiles of passers by who just can’t resist him He will make a fantastic addition to any family willing to give him the time and the active lifestyle he requires – AND DESERVES!!! He is absolutely no hassle here because he has loads of exercise and playtime. A great little man!! Can’t praise him enough.
CAM_0307.JPGDecember 1, 2010 at 1:39 pm #103097ColganFamilyMemberHere I am with my bestest pal, Casper!! He loves the snow too
CAM_0305.JPGDecember 10, 2010 at 8:36 pm #103353ColganFamilyMemberWell this little man is getting bigger, more talkative and more independent by the day!! He is a fantastic doggie who has totally endeared himself to all here in the family. He absolutely LOVES his walks in Tymon with the lads in the morning and comes back immediately when called. He has become better at keeping up with the game and loves to get involved. I have never seen a dog so keen to talk – I am sure he would have an opinion on the Budget if I asked him!! He begs, gives out and asks for cuddles all vocally and it is very easy to know what he wants. We are so in love with this little guy and still can’t believe no-one has come forward to be his forever family.
CAM_0300.JPGDecember 14, 2010 at 4:48 pm #103418lalaMemberHe is adorable I would snap him up but we are looking for a dog who will be smaller than our dog as she is nervous of bigger dogs and he looks like he will be a big boy
December 17, 2010 at 4:57 pm #103466ColganFamilyMemberWell another snivel-fest in the Colgan household as our little man, Gizmo, went off to his new forever home and his – well deserved – happy ever after earlier today!! Helen, David and Dudley (another DID dog) came to collect him this afternoon and were greeted with loads of kisses, licks, cuddles and YAPS! It is an exciting new beginning for this very special guy and we look forward to loads of updates. Be happy, little man
