June 1, 2010 at 12:00 am #98174DID RescueKeymasterWell the little man has been altered today and is still in good form.
He slept for quite a while but managed a dinner of roast chicken and potatoe and has just agreed to a small pigs ear.
He will be in tip top shape in the morning.
He had a great time with Lucy yesterday…………he is in luv…..did not want her to go.
They are a great match, age, size and fun.
It was difficult to get any photos as they were whizzing around so much.
I am delighted that Lucy has chosen Gio as her new friend I think they will be magic together and provide lots of fun together and give their parents time to sit, relax have a glass of wine or whatever and enjoy their antics.
I also think Charlie will like Gio as he is very respectful of the older generation(dogs I mean) one of my dogs is fourteen and a bit and he has been really good considering he is still a baby.June 1, 2010 at 5:59 pm #97429angjoMemberDelighted Gio is over his little operation and doing well. We are all in love with him already. Charlie will love him as he has the same kind of temperament. We are counting the days till Gio comes to our home. Lucy will keep him very busy playing games. :
June 7, 2010 at 2:21 pm #93420DID RescueKeymasterWell little man Gio is due to change address tomorrow all going well he will pack his bag and move in with Lucy the new love of his life and of course Charlie.
I hope they have a long and happy life and no doubt will provide hours of endless entertainment for their parents.June 7, 2010 at 7:44 pm #92485angjoMemberA welcoming party is arranged for Gio for tomorrow nite. We are so looking forward to Gio moving in and becoming part of the family. His new bed is ready and Lucy will be thrilled with her new play mate and I know charlie will be happy too.
June 9, 2010 at 5:18 pm #83128angjoMemberWe collected Gio yesterday from Marie and he arrived home to Lucy and Charlie. He spent about three hours running mad around the house with Lucy and having tug of war with squeaky toys. He got on great with Charlie, noses were touched and tails wagged. He had a good night’s sleep with the other dogs. He is very laid back and follows the others. He had his first beach walk today and really enjoyed it. He is a great little dog and we are delighted with him. I will post some pictures soon.
June 9, 2010 at 8:06 pm #85712DID RescueKeymasterDelighted to hear that everyone is settling in.
I can just imagine the carry on around the kitchen.
Looking forward to seeing the black and white photosJune 11, 2010 at 9:56 pm #92751angjoMemberWe decided to rename Gio and he is now called Hamish. The name is just made for him. I cannot belive how well he has settled in. He is just amazing and he is getting on great with Lucy, they are so funny together He is so gentle with my old collie Charlie.
He was at the vet today and got stitches out . We are delighted with him, he is full of love.June 12, 2010 at 5:09 pm #92654Angela1MemberYou’re so right – "Hamish" is just a perfect name for this little Scottish chap.
June 21, 2010 at 1:15 am #98356DID RescueKeymasterOk Angela where are the promised photos of the little man……………this is what we need and the one thing we ask for.
He was here with me for two months and during that time he came on in leaps and bounds in learning to be a dog. This is how he ended up being so easily adjustable and ready for a new home.
Please put a photos of him up just so I can see him and how he is getting on.Thanks.
June 21, 2010 at 9:22 am #98359angjoMemberHi Marie, Sorry for the delay in putting up photos. I was having trouble down loading them. I will make another attempt this evening and if cannot get them up will send them onto you.
We are thrilled with Hamish (GIO) he is doing great thanks to all the work you put into him. I will post later and with pictures and info.
Kind regardsJune 21, 2010 at 8:35 pm #98382angjoMemberHere are some pictures of Hamish ( Gio) with Lucy and Charlie in the garden and on walkies. We met some resident beach dogs on our trips. Hamish loves to stop sit and look around taking everything in. He loves going down onto the sand and does not know what to make of the sea. As the waves roll in he dodges them. He is a great gentle little fella. Loves his food, pigs ears and chew bones. The battles are mightly over toys between Lucy and himself. We have about five dog beds and everyone takes a turn in them. He is so lovely with Charlie.
I bring him for walks around the town and some times he gets a bit frightened by noises but he is gaining confidence day by day. Hamish will just stop, sit and watch in the middle of the street. He has a great personality and loves to play with Lucy. Hope these pictures come up. Between the camera and computer nothing was going right. Thanks again Marie
