He was knocked down and will need 5 weeks crate rest.

He is very cuddly and gets along great with other dogs as we had him mixing with a couple of our own dogs during his stay with us. He is mad to get outside for walks even with his broken pelvis and seems to be extremely well mannered. He is a very relaxed dog and lets us maneuver him around.

We collected this little patient from the vet in Dunboyne on Friday and what a cutie he is. He has to be caged for the next five weeks until his pelvis heals so he is occupying the cage that Mandy left and it seems enormous for him. He is a little gem – quiet, affectionate and well-behaved. He loves his cuddles and likes nothing better than snuggling into you while licking you to bits. Our Meg has accepted him very well despite the difference in their size but is wondering if she will ever get a friend who isn’t behind bars!! Photos to follow.

What can we say about our little man Deelo. He has to be the quietest dog we have ever met, in fact you would almost forget he is in the house. He is so gentle and affectionate and would make a wonderful pet for any home. He is tiny and all he wants is to sit beside you on the couch getting lots of cuddles. He is obviously getting a little better every day judging by his interest in Meg, our staffi, he only wishes he could lift his leg a bit higher but anyway he gets full marks for trying!! She is loving the attention and is very gentle with him, he is constantly licking her eyes and face and today was even licking her feet – now where would you get a man who would woo you like that. He is fully housetrained and sleeps all night. Will keep you updated on this Cassanova.

Deelo arrived to our house yesterday. His first interaction with our two cats was not smooth at all. He barked at them and tried to chase them around the house. But it is not so easy to scary our cats. We try to discipline Deelo every time he tries to bark at them and it seems to be working very well and he is learning quickly.
He also sleeps a lot, and the favorite place is next to someone. He doesn’t like to be left alone.
First night was stressful, he was crying a bit, but after we took him into our room, he slept peacefully.
He is very cute. He likes to play with a ball. He is limping a bit after the accident he had, but this doesn’t bother him at all and he is full of life and energy.

Deelo has settled very well with us. After explaining for two days, that cats are not in a house for him to bark at, he finally understood it and he is now ignoring them all together. He is very smart and understands everything very quickly. I let him of the lead today for the first time. His recall is good, but they easiest way to get him back is to show him his favorite tennis ball. Every time he sees it – he runs back to grab it.

He is a real guard dog. He was barking twice this night, but our neighbours were having late party, so he was responding to the noise. Great dog. He is a real sweetheart, full of energy, but also likes to sleep. preferably in my bed next to me or my husband.
He is 100% house trained, no accidents and he shows when he really wants out.

Great to see Deelo out and about after his crate rest. Looks like he’s enjoying the outdoors too. :P
He’s a beautiful size (I have a fondness for the little ones ;) ). Here’s hoping someone spots this little gem and offers him his forever home..he deserves it after all he’s been through.

Oh Deelo it’s great to see that you are so happy out and about playing ball after five long weeks of crate rest. You were an excellent patient and will, hopefully, get your forever home very soon. We all miss cuddling you and receiving so many kisses in return. Looks like you are being completely spoilt in your new foster home you lucky boy. Meg sends her love, she misses her Cassanova big time!!

Oh, Deelo is so sweat, it is impossible not to spoil him. He has so much energy, so sometimes is driving us crazy in a good way with his ball. But we can’t say no to him, as it is a lot of pleasure to watch him play.

Yesterday we went to see our friends and took Deelo with us. There were two children in our friends house, age 3.5 and 7. Deelo absolutely loves kids. He was following the youngster, playing with him, licking his nose. They were playing for 4 hours straight and Deelo still was bringing the ball to the kinds, as he enjoyed their company so much.

I think Deelo would love to have a family with kids or at least he would suit an active family who would have time to play with him.
Unfortunately he doesn’t like other dogs. He is more or less ok with big dogs, but he doesn’t like his size dogs. He becomes a bit angry and frustrated. He like all attention to be at him only and doesn’t want to share it. He is now ok with cats, so he would not mind one at home, as long as he is reminded that he is not allowed to chase them :)

This energetic boy is still looking for his forever home. Believe me when i say, this boy is sweat and will love you with all his heart and more. He is great on the lead, his recall is very good, he is very smart and fast learner. He would be a great addition to any family. :)

This lovely lad also made an appearence today he was soo over the whole meeting other dogs on leads and just wanted his mum to himself and get out like the rest of us ….until we seen the hailstones then we were glad it was an indoor event.
Deelo has lovely markings on his coat….and a small little guy too.
