Update from his home!
"
Bracken (formerly Champ) is doing great here in Belfast. We adopted him in August 2008, so he’s been with us now for 14 months. He’s a lovely, gentle dog, very good with the kids, a bit nervous of aggressive dogs, especially small ones, but loves to chase and play with friendly ones.
He gets out three times a day – 40 minutes in the morning, 30 minutes in the afternoon and then 10 minutes around the block at night. He also has the garden to play in. He lives happily with our cat, who sometimes follows us on the evening walk!
Bracken is a ginger and white collie-cross found in the Chapelizod area and fostered by Dellytots, who did a great job. He’d been abandoned and was very, very thin after several weeks in the pound. He came to training for a while and now knows down, gently, heel and wait as well as the commands he already knew when he came to us – sit and paw.
We get a lot of pleasure from Bracken and thanks to him and his three walks a day I’m a lot fitter! Thanks Dogs in Distress for helping my family to come by such a sweet, lovely dog."
