I had the enormous pleaure of being invited to Our Lady’s school in Templeogue yesterday to meet Orla Walsh and her 4th year classmates who had organised a cake sale for Dogs in Distress. Orla.s family adopted their two dogs from DID and she wanted to help. And help she did!!!!
I was presented with a cheque for 338 euro made out to DID to help with the work we do.
It is absolutely fantastic to see the enthusiasm and committment of such young people to what we all know is a very worthy cause.
Well done to Orla and her classmates. Lovely to see the younger generation caring about animals. That was a lot of money you made – must have been yummy cakes.
Well done and thank you to Orla and her classmates. The future for animal welfare is in good hand with wonderful young people like you and your friends.
