Many thanks for the updates on Brian.
He was one of the lucky dogs who made it out of the Pound and on to a wonderful forever home.
Heartwarming to see. His story pulled at so many heartstrings and it is wonderful to see him so happy. ![]()
Hello from the UK!
It was a year ago today that Brian came into our lives and boy, what a great little dog he has proved to be….
Everyone that has come into contact with him has fallen in love. He is a true star of a dog, has a beautiful soft nature and a kind, sweet face.
He gets on well with everyone, human and canine and we love him dearly.
Thank you Dogs in Distress for the best and easiest Irish Rescue we have had to date – we are besotted.
Maybe one day we’ll be back for another…….
Happy 1st Anniversary in your forever home Brian. You stole everybody’s heart and it’s great to hear from you.

I am so delighted to read this update. ![]()
This guy broke my heart when he was in the pound and with no foster home coming forward I was getting worried.
Then we got him out and he was sick, more worrying.
Then no home and no interest………….and then you contacted us.
You would know by his photo from day one he was an angel and he really has lived up to that.
I am so delighted that you are all happy and enjoying what this lovley boy had to offer which could have been lost so easily.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BRIAN
and hopefully many more to come.
Thank you so much for updating on him we really appreciate it.
Hello from the freezing cold UK. For those of you who remember Brian who was rescued from the pound, sorry but i cannot find his old thread? He went into foster with Linda and we had him sent over to the UK on 26th March 2010. He is adorable and adored. Sadly he lost his 15yo girlfriend this week but when the time is right, we may be back to DID for a golden oldie girl.
Thanks to you all for a wonderful little dog who means the world to us all here in Kent.

Is this the same Brian that I think was an older chap, almost had a home but then the lady. The lady was about to take him fell madly in love with another dog in Ashton Pound. If it is the same one I remember hoping it was for the best and looks like it, lucky lad living in beautiful Kent. Brian looks gorgeous in his red coat. Well done, lovely to see an update.
Yes, this was the same Brian! There is only one Brian! Certainly an older boy and his eyes are beginning to look a little cloudy but he is as beautiful as ever. He was clipped recently, hence the coat. He is our diamond…a million THANK YOUs for saving him from the pound.
Brian wants to say hello from the UK!! He’s as beautiful and happy as ever and we absolutely adore him. Looking a bit older and greyer but still as wonderful.
Hey Brian! Happy to hear you are doing good
Any chance of a pic? I bet you look like a super loved dog should x
Here is a picture of the lovely Brian, taken a couple of days ago….
He is our little Irish Hero!Various 006.JPG
Brian looks lovely, great soft and shiny coat. Thanks for the photo ![]()
Just to let you all know that Brian is doing really well still, though is quite an old man now and was likely older than first estimated! Not that we care a hoot – he is the best dog we have ever had in the family and we’ve had a fair few! My father is now in a nursing home so Brian is my Mum’s protector, friend and guardian – a one in a million dog…..huge thanks to DID for allowing us to be his family.
