March 24, 2010 at 9:49 am #92831ClaireLarbyMemberI have one of those 6 dogs Liz mentioned in her post, we brought our DID dog Carley (now Pippa) over to England last Feb.
Brain is going to land on all 4 paws when he arrives with Liz, what a lucky dog, and all that waiting for the perfect forever home will be worth it!!
I can’t wait to meet him
March 25, 2010 at 7:16 pm #95795bazbarneyMemberThe adorable Brian arrived in the UK this morning and travelled back to Kent with me without a peep. What a dog! He is just wonderful. It looks as though he is going to live with my parents now and their 13yo whippet x lab who also thought he was the bees knees! He’s had 3 small feeds today and is now sleeping like a baby…..I cannot believe what a great dog he is – I AM IN LOVE!!!! I will see him every day as we live really close and no doubt will walk him too.
Thanks for your brilliant work and to all those who gave Brian the chance of a new life – we are so grateful to you all.

May 3, 2010 at 12:14 am #97709DID RescueKeymasterGreat dog he really deserves it all.
So glad he is happy and settled.
It must be so hard for the older dogs no matter what the home was like it was the only one they knew and then shattered.
Thank goodness they bounce back as well as they do……explains why we love them so much….humans would never forgive and forget like that
Best of luck Brian you so deserve to be loved and appreciated and it looks like you have finally got it right.May 4, 2010 at 12:44 am #97761CurlyMemberUpdate from Brians new mammy:
"Just to let you know that dear Brian is doing so well. Everyone that meets him thinks he is a star! He is just wonderful and is giving us so much pleasure.
What a little character too! The more settled in he feels, the noisier he is becoming, guarding his garden and girlfriend. Such a hoot! And he loves carrying his toys around, making little chortling noises, talking to us as he does so. And he’s such a smiler too, we get to see a fine set of teeth when he really grins!
Please feel free to post a photo on the Happy Endings page, words cannot express how utterly thrilled we are with this little man – he has fitted in to our lives so quickly; it’s like he’s been with us forever.
Thank you all again
Kind regardsLiz"

He smiles with his eyes. So great to see his updates everyone who met him was touched by him. Live long and happy Brian!June 27, 2010 at 6:48 am #91400bazbarneyMemberBrian is so happy in his new home here in England.
We love him and everyone that meets him thinks he is wonderful. He is a great advert for the Irish rescue system and the sixth dog we have brought over.
Our thanks to everyone who helped him, being an older dog it could have been a very different story.

December 26, 2010 at 1:44 pm #82522bazbarneyMemberIt is not far off a year ago that a little old man, with a greying beard, turned up in the pound. Things didn’t look too bright for him because of his age but I think his personality must have been his saving grace!! We took him on in March this year and Brian has just had a lovely first Christmas in Kent!
We love him – he is the best little dog EVER.
Happy Christmas to you all and thanks for our wonderful friend.
Much love from Brian’s new family XXX
