Bonnie just in from a wet short walk-managed to get waterproof coat on her.
She walked well on extenda lead and even sniffed a fellow walker ,male, in the park!!
A female friend called to see her with a gift and amongst the welcome pack was…guess who??…yep-my friend is a dog lady and Bonnie went to lick her hand.
She is doing so well-have no fears foster lady!! xx
Love to all for Xmas x

Great news Angela and delighted to hear she has started to settle in so well so soon.
Smart lady to go to the boss dogs first and introduce herself ![]()
Hope you all have a lovely Christmas ![]()

It’s Boxing Day.
Update on Bonnie Bichon…….she has had a super Christmas Day with the other 6 dog friends.
Progress is steady and on 25 th she decided that she wanted to get in the back of my car with the other dogs.
She is learning so fast!
Today she came into the entrance hall where all the dogs get put onto their leads before they get into the car and guess who pushed into the queue?
yup-Bonnie Bichon.
She now sits on the sofa with the dogs and me and over Xmas let my mum stroke her and is asleep on her knee as I type.
What amazing progress-she has fitted in so well in every way-loves her grub and knows her spot to eat it in now too!!
So I send you all best wishes from Bonnie Bichon and her new friends for the new year and thank you to all who saved my life.

Bonnie has had a wonderful Xmas with all her doggie pals.
She is settled in well and loved by all.
Thanks to all involved in her rescue and wishing you a happy new year and more saved dogs in 2014. ![]()
Yes I’d like to add my voice to that wish.
I must say Bonnie looks great, she really seems to be engaging with the world now looking directly at the camera as opposed to that worrying vacant look she had when she was first rescued. She’s a credit to her fosterers and to you for the gentle and loving way she’s been brought back to ‘life’.
Happy New Year to all at DID
I can’t have imagined a more perfect happy ending for little Bonnie. Best wishes to her in her new home in Belfast. X
Hello to all DID folks from Bonnie Bichon frise, now aged 1 year old.
First of all may I wish you all a happy 2014.
I had a quiet but happy xmas with my dog pals, my new human grannie and Angela.
I have never had such a calm time in my life. I have made progress but I still have a long way to go yet and I am doing my best to please my new owner, as she is so patient with me!
-I allow my owner to put my rain coat on, when I am going walkies with the dogpals; I have only nipped her once, but she did not mind.
-I now eat my meals in my designated area, (big word for such a small dog LOL)-this allows me to eat at my own pace and the dogpals can get their food too.
-I go into the hall with the wee dogs to get my owner to put my dog lead on-then (and this is great)I go outside with the other smallies and we jump into the car and I go to my spot where I am secured down like the others! This means I am safe in the car.
-I love my walks in the park but more so in the open fields-I am still on the extenda lead but doing well.
-I have now learned to take treats direct from the owner’s fingers and not run away.
-I have started to play wrestling with the wee dog pals and wag my tail-this really made my owner happy and smile a lot!
-I eat all my food up and have a great appetite.
-I do some of my jobbies in the garden as I have learned to go through the 2 flaps, so I can go out in the night or anytime I need to.
-I like to get dried by my owner when it rains, but am still a bit nervous of this.
-I also snuggle up with the big dogpals and they like me ![]()
-I let my owner snip a bit of hair from my face as it was going into my eyes-I need to work on this as I really do need a bath and haircut but I am still too scared to trust anyone…..this will take me a while yet!
So in short, I am making good steady progress and am allowed to make mistakes at times eg pee on the rugs, but I so want to please my owner and I show her I love her too, when I lick her fingers to tell her I want to be stroked!!
Life is good and thank you all for your interest in my wee life, especially Andrea-hope she likes the progress I am making and has maybe taken on another lost foster to work her magic on-cos it was so good for me!
Licks , snuffles and wags from Bonnie bichon in Belfast.
What a heart warming up date
