Benny has a great appetite and now takes his food dry.He is gaining weight well.
Benny has been a little afraid of the strong winds when in the garden. He is a great little actor and whines and sometimes cries to get his own way eg eat Max’s food.
He gets excited when he meets people.Benny still dislikes going to bed some nights but settles quickly.
Benny just loves his cuddles and the company of his foster brothers.

January 2, 2012 at 10:49 pm #107887diannehMemberHi,I have discovered that I can run fast now.I love being in the garden.
I pick up leaves or anything that I can grab quickly and then run.I also like playing chase with my foster brothers,I especially like to play with Zac but sometimes I get carried away and get a bit too rough and he runs away from me.My foster mum tried to get pics of me in the garden but there is just too much to explore to pose for pics.

DSCN1998.JPGJanuary 6, 2012 at 6:27 pm #107965diannehMemberHi,Benny is now 10 to 11 weeks old and thriving well as he now weighs 3.1kgs,he was only 1.7kgs on arrival.
Tomorrow Benny will have his 2nd vaccine and get his micro chip.
He still loves cuddles and is very much part of the gang chasing down the garden with my 4 and playing chase and tug with them.
Toilet training is good as long as he is taken out regularly during the day and he is clean and dry every night.
Benny has lovely colouring but it is darker than the photos show.

January 7, 2012 at 11:58 pm #98730diannehMemberSorry,did not mean to repeat the same photo above.
Benny had his 2nd vaccine and micro chip today so is ready for his forever home.Poor Benny cried all the way to the vet and even louder when he was micro chipped, mainly because he did not like being held still. He recovered quick enough to wag his tail all the time he was eating a piece of scalliwag biscuit the vet gave him.

Benny now has a big sister and 3 cats to play with.
Benny is missed already,he is such a cutie. My 2 youngest dogs have been searching for him.
Wishing you a long and happy life Benny, lots of cuddles and kisses.January 14, 2012 at 10:30 pm #107083GlyndwrMemberI tried to update this the other day but it would not allow me for some reason.
Benny, now Ben, is doing great. He is getting on great with Penny and the cats now allow him to lick their face. He frightened them all at first but now its like he’s always been here.
His first night we were prepared for some crying. But not a peep from him. I reckon its because he chased Penny around for hours. I had to take Penny away briefly for him to get some rest. This lasted for about an hour. He got up and started jumping all over Penny again.
He spent his first day exploring the garden and the house. He is now quite familiar with all the nooks and crannies he can tease Penny from.
I will try update this at least once a week. Also ill try get some pics uploaded.

Love the pic of Ben and Penny.
Enjoy them and may they have many, many happy years together.January 15, 2012 at 2:13 pm #107702fredisbestMemberI think Ben and Penny should be renamed "Little and Large". It looks like Penny is taking her adoption duties very seriously.
March 1, 2012 at 7:34 pm #108676taraMemberBen has been getting on brilliantly. He has quickly become a loved and loving member of the family. The cats (all rescues) have all taken to him. He sleeps on Frank, our ginger long hair, and occasionally you’ll look out the back to see Ben being chased in circles around the garden. Then, when he feels brave he’ll turn and chase Frank until Frank gets bored/crafty and runs up the tree/fence to get away. He also likes to sneak up on Leo (tabby cat pictured sharing the box with Ben) and hold him down. I think Leo likes the attention from him because he doesnt run. Belle (the master of the house) will play with Ben from a height. She is brave when on a chair or a table, but will run like the wind if she is on the floor and Ben comes bounding in.
He enjoys 4-5 days a month over at the grandparents with Penny and their 2 dogs and inevitably the neighbours old boy too (black lab? pictured being chased by Ben). He gets to go for plenty of walks up the canal with all the dogs a few times and week and the rest of the time with just Penny. He has not yet braved the water. But he chases penny up and down the canal and barks his head off when she jumps in after sticks. He has had a couple of accidents where he didnt see the path disappear and the canal begin but he quickly jumps out again and gets a enormous boost of energy and starts running up and down like he is possessed and jumping up as if to say "run with me".
Penny and himself will not sleep in separate beds. They will both lie in the one and more often than not penny ends up half on the floor. We are thinking of getting one big bed for them. Might be the best as we can give the 2 we have to Jens parents to replace the 2 that Ben had a good chew on. All in all he has not been too mischievous. He has lots of toys to sink his teeth into. He did find his way into my green house and destroy approx 200eur worth of fruit trees. But its not the end of the world. He had fun. Thats the main thing right. Anyway, he had help from Penny I am sure. The pair of them are inseparable. He will not leave her alone. Constantly wanting her to play. If she is fed up an walks away and I start to play with him, she gets jealous and is straight back in wanting to play. If she does walk away though, he’ll go on a little adventure around the garden and come back in after a few minutes and lie in bed with her.
He is getting big now. In the past week we have noticed a growth spurt. He has gotten taller and more muscles. He is an agile little chap. He can hop onto the couch with no effort at all. We try to be fair and keep the two of them off the couch. But inevitably we end up with a 1/3 of the couch while the 2 of them stretch out on the the rest. And 9 times out of 10, at least 2 of the cats will be asleep on the couch too.
To wrap things up, Ben is getting on superbly. He is getting big and strong and also strong minded. He is a tyke when he wants to be but most of the time he is very well behaved. He has already
