This little man was brought to the vets to be put to sleep as his owners let him out …he was knocked down…his leg was broken & could not be saved and they wouldn’t pay for his surgery…..he is now in foster with Phil who will update soon
He is a happy, outgoing little man who gets on great with other dogs

We have yet to hear him bark, but we all know what he wants with his charming ways of letting us know, a nudge here and a nudge there.
When he arrived it was as if he knew that this place was his and he made himself comfortable.
He is quiet and not intrusive but loves to be picked up and petted. He stays for a while and then goes about his business.
He sleeps under the bed but not on top, his choice, not mine!!
His operation has healed completely and he does not take any tablets at all. he is in no pain and gets around just fine without his leg.
He does not like the lead but I think this is because he is getting used to his new balance etc.,
I’m a groomer and he loves the other dogs and has already found his place in the salon where he watches proceedings and "helps" with the customers.
I will put some pictures up tomorrow.July 17, 2013 at 5:37 pm #116471kaydoyleMemberEnjoying the good life

Then on to business where he kept the customer happy with a little play and sparring in the garden. He then went for a little walk in the park with Tom and I where he barked for the first time. We were thrilled to hear him and see him tear off after another dog’s ball.. he is really fast and agile. He will need a little training with getting him to come back though!!! He loved the kids and stopped to chat with everyone. Then he just sat down and refused to get up, so we carried him home. He is as light as a feather and loves to be cuddled. Bailey spent the evening flopped out under the chair asleep with one eye on what was going on around him.

August 26, 2013 at 9:53 pm #116937GemmaMemberWell I fostered Bailey on Thursday taking over from his previous foster Mum who went back to work. We knew upon meeting Bailey that this dog would be snapped up quickly. Such a gorgeous gent, cannot believe anyone wouldn’t want him. On holidaying in Dungarvan with the dogs this weekend our accommodation hosts fell in love with him and gorgeous Bailey has his forever home. Poor little guy had such a tough start but has now landed firmly on his 3 feet. He has a new brother too, and some horses and donkeys to play with. I am gutted to see him go but am so happy for him and his new family.

Well done Gemma and the family who decided to adopt him – Many happy years of fun together. -
