Arthur’s a lovely old gent, he wagged his tail to greet us but unfortunately wasn’t up to getting out of bed. The pound staff are looking after him as best they can and trying to make him as comfortable as possible. Absolutely heartbreaking.

Appalling to see such a lovely old boy abandoned in his dotage. I just don’t understand how anyone could get rid of him when he needs them most

Hey im just in my foster home now, im sooo tired after my busy morning. I was falling asleep on the ground when the vet was checking me out. He says my joints are very stiff and swollen which is why i find it really hard to walk and he thinks i have an old injury in one of my legs which is why i limp. I have a really bad ear infection in both ears so cant hear well and they are so itchy and sore. I have a broken tooth thats hanging from my gums so i cant eat properly. I have a squishy lump on my head and pressure sores on my legs. My vet said im much younger than they think but that my last home mistreated me which is why i act beyond my years.
The great news is Dogs In Distress are gonna look after me now, they said the vets will make me all better but i need your help coz i looked at the price list in the vets and man are they expensive!!! :O
If you can help at all i would be very grateful ![]()
Gonna go for a nap now so ill chat soon xx Arthur

So glad to see Arthur out of the pound and receiving the care he deserves. Donation on its way!
Hi Arthur, you are a handsome gent. I hope you will be free from pain and enjoy life in a loving home. Thankfully you are in the care of DID and a fab foster home. Lots of love little man xx
Hi everyone, sorry for the late update today but ive been sleeping non stop. Im so exhausted from straying for so long and then being in the pound but now i can finally relax because ive been told i will never be abandoned again and that people will take care of me…im not use to that. So its nice to be able to chill out and to be warm and cozy without having to worry. Im so tired that i cant eat on my own so my foster mam is spoon feeding me just so i can get stronger. Hopefully ill be strong enough soon to be able to eat on my own coz shes offered me so many smelly foods but i just have no appetite
Gonna stroll out for a pee now so ill talk to you all soon xx Arthur
P.s Thank you all soooo much for donating towards my care. Many woofs and licks to you all kind people xx
