Thought I’d send you some nice news and show you how the little one is doing. She is coming on well, Marie has been helping me with her skin problem treatment and a good wash in cooled camomile tea seems to be doing the trick. She’s been playing in spurts and then sleeping the rest of the day! I’ve been taking videos of her to compile on bigger one to use on the site. Here are the links for 2 of them….
Amazing to see enjoyment come into her life probably for the first time….the video clips do your heart good to watch! Well done foster family and the DID family who are giving Anniebelle a dream life in comparison to hell she must have been through!
Wonderful to see her running and playing on the beach- something I’m sure she has never done before
. Well done and thank you giving her such great care. ![]()
Little Annie has been doing really well. It’s taken her a few weeks to recover and properly come out of her shell. When she arrived I don’t think she knew how to interact with us or with my two dogs. She didn’t look for attention or cuddles, was happy to be on her own, was very nervous of going outside especially at night, and was unsure of her surroundings and what was happening. She had bad ear infections and a sore looking skin infection. She’s had a rough life to now. I tried a few names with her to see what would respond to and Annie or Annie-belle got her attention everytime
A few days in, Annie started to interact with my 2 dogs who up to that point hadn’t taken much notice as she had kept to herself. After about a week of good food, rest and attention she started to really enjoy playing with the girls, got excited at the prospect of a walk (although she wasn’t able for a long walk), and figured out that doggie chews are great!
She didn’t bark until about week 2 and has now come to love playing and barks her head off running around in spurts of energy! She has a very gentle bark that I can barely hear if she is playing downstairs and I am in the office upstairs. She is a real gentle soul and has been great with any dogs we meet out on walks, and with people who come to the house or we meet out.
Annie’s house training has come on great and there have been no accidents over the last few days
She has started to go in and out to the garden via the dog flap on her own volition (I had to go out to the garden with her up to now as she was too nervous of being left outside). She will be going back to the vet for a checkup on her ears and skin next week. Her skin is still a little irritated but it has lost the redness it once had and she is no longer tormented with it. The vet has said that the excess skin hanging down as a result of over-breeding can be removed when she gets spayed – so that is good news.
She has settled a lot in the last week and it seems as if she has realised life will be good to her from now on. No longer does she want to be on her own and now follows me everywhere! She jumps up for a cuddle, gets super excited to see us in the morning or if we have been out, chases my 2 dogs around the house, and snoozes/snores under my chair when I’m working in the office. Last weekend she decided the wash basket looked comfortable so jumped in for a snooze snoring her head off, and has since commandeered it with a blanket in as her bed
Annie will be a dream companion for her forever family, she is gentle, travels well in the car and is very easy to have around. She will need a home where she has fur siblings or someone home all day as she loves company now and has had long enough of being alone.

This very special girl has found her happy ending just in time for Christmas. She has been adopted by a family who adopted Petal (now called Patches) from DID.
As well as a new doggie sister Anniebelle has a new name . . .Lexie
Her forever family report that…
"She is settling so well, very relaxed and trusting of us so quickly.
Lexie and Patches are quite playful together. Lexie is certainly bringing out a happy side of Patches.
She really is the cutest little girl and a pleasure to care for. Follows us everywhere…and when not us, follows Patches.
Here are some pics of her settling in!"
We are all thrilled for this girl and delighted to see her homed and settling in so well.

What a heart warming happy ending…
Great news for Lexi! A home before Christmas – just in time to hang her stocking up.
Best wishes to her new family.
They are bonding very well, some pics attached.
Every walk she is more energetic, although tried bringing her on a run couple of times but she wasn’t into that!
