March 11, 2015 at 10:35 pm #123995DID RescueKeymasterNow called Ben
Ben is a lovely sweet boy. He arrived in our house yesterday afternoon and settled in quite quickly. It is clear that he has very little experience of lead walks but is very bright and willing to learn. Everything is an adventure for him. He is not fully house trained but we are working on that. He is eager to greet to every dog he meets and shows no signs of any aggression.
I’ll update with more info soon

March 16, 2015 at 10:48 am #124054DID RescueKeymasterBen is living with us now for almost a week. It is very clear that the poor boy has had very little stimulation in his life so far. He was pacing the floor a lot which I assume had been a habit for him in his past life. He is easily distracted from this though with his new toys so the pacing has been reducing as the days go by and when he settles again he is very calm. He is such a gentle and loving boy and is very affectionate.
His lack of stimulation in his past life again is very obvious when we are out for a walk. He had his first trip to the beach yesterday. He was very excited to see everything. He barked at the other dogs but with a wagging tail and was thrilled when they came up to him to say hello. He has never been aggressive with any dog. He probably envied his furry friend Sparky who was allowed to run around as much as she wanted to. His day will come, but not for a while I expect as he does not listen well to any command when there is so much going on around him. He walks very well on lead in the dark though because there is not so much happening around him. Last night and this morning Ben had an upset tummy probably because of all the excitement yesterday Nothing that boiled chicken, rice and plenty of TLC can’t sort out today.
As you can see he is recuperating

March 27, 2015 at 8:50 pm #124220DID RescueKeymasterBen is feeling very sorry for himself today after his visit to the vet. He is so unsettled and out of sorts but I’m sure by tomorrow he will be a lot brighter. He is such a beautiful and gentle boy and we hate seeing him upset. On the plus side we have found a new use for our plant pot
