    Grainne, Trevor’s foster mum describes him as the perfect dog…great with other dogs, older children and travels well in the car.

    He is very gentle, quite timid and would thrive in a home where he would get all the attention and tlc he deserves.

    * SPECIAL APPEAL *

    Hi, I’m Trevor’s foster mum, we call him Pudsey now. I am looking for an amazing, kind-hearted family to give a home to my beautiful foster dog. Tears are flowing as I type this, he is sitting beside me, good as gold, as always. I love him so much and he loves us, but he needs a country home, the city is too frightening for him.

    Just before Christmas, Pudsey had spent 9 days in the pound. The first few days at my house, his head was down, he was very frightened of loud noises and scarpered & trembled if I picked up any long object, turkey foil or wrapping paper. There are scars on his head and body, the vet believed that he been the victim of cruel abuse, yet he shows no aggression whatsoever. He learned quickly that he was safe and came out of his shell. He’s the sweetest little dog anyone could meet, loves cuddles and playtime, he’s good with my dogs and dogs he meets in the park. He is house trained, well behaved, quiet around the home, doesn’t bark or chew stuff and would make a lovely family pet.

    Pudsey (Trevor) has an issue that makes life here difficult for him. He is afraid of walking on a lead. I have been working on this for the last couple of months with no improvement. He’s just terrified, walks low, with tail clamped between legs and eventually won’t walk. He has no problems whatsoever off the lead, will run around ‘happy as Larry’ in the park / beach and loves it! This has become a significant problem for us, as I work 6 days a week, but pop home in the afternoon to take the doggies out for a walk and have limited time to do so. It’s a daily struggle for me & Puds and I don’t live in an area, where it’s not safe to let him off lead. I would love to keep him, but sadly realise that there is a family out there who can provide a better life for him.

    Pudsey needs a very kind-hearted, soft-natured family that will love him, in their home (he’s a house dog now). A home with a bit of land, where he can run free without a lead, then cuddle up with his new family. A home that won’t get cross with him (cos there’s no reason to and he can’t take it) and will bring him on country walks. Could anyone offer this to this special dog? I would be happy to take him back if for some reason it didn’t work out for you. Love to you all for choosing a rescue dog, Grainne

    * The pic above with the chewed mat. Pudsey didn’t do that, it was another foster dog : )

    I was just reading your last post on Pudsey – the poor darling. It brakes my heart when I see such beautiful gentle dogs who have to be physically and emotionally scared, but still have gentle temperaments and just want to be loved. I really hope that he is well!! – and that you have found a foster home that suits his needs…. or even better a family who will love him and offer him a permanent home. I know the kind of dog he is and can only imagine what a wonderful pet he would make for the right family.

    Trevor (Pudsey) is a lovely and very handsome boy who will need a good bit TLC and work. He is quite fearful of new things and experiences, but with patience, positive reinforcement (Pudsey loves his treats ;) ) and stable & loving forever he will most surely "come out of his shell".

    Hello,

    I cannot take Pudsey as Flo is not great with bigger dogs (Esp darker coloured big dogs – she gets a bit scared)

    However, he has captured my heart and I really hope he gets a superb fur-ever home. I know it is more challenging as he cannot be in a built up area so finding his family will be more challenging.

    I would hate to think that maybe the right family could not afford him so if there is someone out there who could offer him the right home but cannot afford the fee, I would like to offer to contribute.

    If you don’t need the contribution – I will give the contribution to DiD instead for all of their great work and for giving dogs like this a second chance.

    Please post more pics of gorgeous Pudsey. I am sharing around Donegal to see if we could get him a home. Can others also share – This boy really deserves a second chance (And thanks to his foster family who are helping him so very much)
