Thanks a million to Ruth for taking photos at a moments notice
This is Mattie, a young terrier cross (?). I’m heart broken over Mattie. Mattie has been in the pound since 25th October, and is terrified. He growled from the moment he spotted me, and continued to growl when I came in to take his picture. He cowered as I entered, and it was clear that his growling was simply to protect himself. I crouched down, and played with my camera, while talking in soothing tones to him. After a few minutes, Mattie started edging closer and closer. In very little time, he had crawled into my lap and started licking my face. I was able to stroke him, which he loved, and he quivered all over. Mattie is in desperate need of some TLC – he’s clearly a very loving dog who is very very scared and just needs someone with patience to coax him out of his shell and let him know that the world doesn’t have to be so scary. matttt.jpg matttttt.jpg
I am very happy to see that DID have managed to remove this smart little dog out of the terrifying situation he found himself in. Goodness only knows whether he has ever known any kindness – he is in for a huge surprise now. It will be interesting to see how quickly he catches on
This poor little boy had been unwell for the last few days and unfortunately the decision had to be made to let him go to rainbow bridge…run free little man
