Fred is a 10 month old Lab X.
He is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
He is gentle so is great with kids and other dogs but he can also go as an only dog as he loves the attention.Fred is settling in nicely (he seems to respond better to Freddy).. will update as we go on but so far he’s met other dogs and cats and has paid no attention to them, he’s house trained (we were relieved to learn) and is very very friendly!!
If you would like to apply to adopt Fred please go to the "adopt a dog" section in the tabs at the top of this page or click here https://dogsindistress.org/adopta-dog/
There you will find all the information on the adoption procedure and the adoption application to be downloaded.

June 4, 2012 at 11:51 pm #109812fiona92MemberDropped this friendly boy off earlier and he is SO sweet! Completely relaxed in the car, didn’t make a sound, just wagged his tail at the people walking past on the street. Full of cuddles and kisses, he’s like a big fluffy teddy bear!
June 7, 2012 at 2:05 pm #109870mypetcowMemberFred has been with us just a few days now and we are loving having him here. He’s our first foster dog and we could not have asked for a better, well-behaved and friendly dog. He’s met a few other dogs now and really pays little attention to them, so we think he’d be suited both as an only dog or as part of a bigger family. He’s a great looking dog and we’ve had countless people stop us in the street and comment on how handsome he is. He’s well trained and won’t jump on you unless you tease him. He is house trained and has been great at going outside to do his business. All in all he’s a great dog, we’re happy to help him out and hope someone will see this guy and want him for keeps. More photos to follow but here’s one that suits him perfectly, as he has not barked once since he arrived

June 11, 2012 at 8:13 pm #109951mypetcowMemberFred was one happy dog today in the park. We had a long lead on him in case he might wander off but he had no intention. We met another dog a bit bigger than him and they played for ages. He really is great with other dogs and people.

fred1.jpgJuly 8, 2012 at 3:35 pm #110439mypetcowMemberFred is a very smart dog. He responds well to any training and is an all round great dog. I wish we could keep him but we cant. I hope someone will love him as much as we do and want to give him the home he deserves.
frednew.jpgJuly 20, 2012 at 4:41 pm #110585mypetcowMemberWe have some sad news unfortunately. My living situation will change mid August which will mean that I cannot continue to foster Fred. I absolutely love this fella and I will be very sad to see him go. Please, if you are considering adopting a beautiful, friendly, smart little guy like him, please give him a chance. I would love to see him go to a deserving home. Here’s another picture of this gorgeous fella..

Well, mypetcow had to give up Freddy sooner than anticipated, so we took him home on Friday, 3rd August. He is a really beautiful dog and highly intelligent. It is our first dog and he responds very well to training. He is still a puppy and quite excitable. I would love to keep him, but my enclosed garden is very small and I think he finds it frustrating. He likes his walks, but only does his business in my garden, which means there is no need for a pooper scooper when out and about.

Freddie has settled in very well. He is a beautiful dog and we are so happy we adopted him. I have sent you a photo of the three dogs Freddie, Blackie and Judy relaxing in the kitchen.
