Little Snowy will be wormed, vaccinated, microchipped and neutered before being rehomed :)

    Hello!
Snowys doing fine. I gave her a badly needed bath earlier and she looks more like a snowy dog now :D Shes comfortable around people, strangers too. shes been investigating her new surroundings all day not a bother on her.

She didn’t like being bathed that much but didn’t get aggressive at all.
The couple who was kindly minding her before informed me that shes really gentle and that, and they’re right.
She doesn’t like my cats though, no dog seems too
who knows they could become friends in time!

    I shall update again soon.

Little Snowy came to us earlier this week after her owner fell in the snow and couldn’t take care of her anymore. She was brought to the vets for a check up and it was discovered she needs to have expensive treatment (between Eu 300 and Eu 400) Thankfully after this she will be 100%, so please if you can spare a few euros to help towards this, it would be much appreciated by this little lady

Despite all her problems snowy is a happy dog and doesn’t let her health prevent her from enjoying life :)
She doesn’t show her pain much and loves playing with her new teddy.
She is slow when out on walks and can only handle 15 minutes or so before she gets tired. shes loves all the new smells and stops for a second look at passers by.
I’m trying to house train her atm but due to no fault of her own she urinates frequently without control.
Shes a big bundle of cuddles and loves getting kissed on her cute black nose!
Her favourite pastime is playing with a mere cat teddy above anything else
I’m hoping everything goes smoothly with her operation as it’s going to be a big one. Shes really gentle with humans and is welcoming to everyone. She settled in really quickly here as soon as she arrived she was investigating the house and backgarden and saying hello to everyone.
I’ll keep posted about her before and after her operation
every single donation big or small is greatly appreciated
    snowy says thanks! *hug :D

I underestimated snowys strength and energy!

Shes quite active and loves following everyone around the house and back garden. She does fall sometimes when trying to get up steps but she picks herself back up again and continues on happy as normal!

What an amazing little girl she is! Shes a lovely dog to walk, she stays beside you and rarely pulls on the lead. She does however stop quite a lot to sniff and its difficult to get her to understand your commands.
You have to be stern with her in order for her to continue to walk again. I’m not the best at disciplining cos i’m too gentle but i’ll do my very best at trying to train her.
I’m trying to wean her off wet food as I think shes been on a wet food diet for most of her seven years… Shes not really taking to the dry food yet but it’ll take time.

she doesn’t seem to be in much pain but does take rests often.
    will update again soon :)

Thanks for the good luck wishes.

snowy had her operation this afternoon and It all went well :D :D
shes snoozing in the vets atm and I will be picking her up tomorrow!
She has loads of energy and a strong spirit so I’d say shell recover pretty quick.

Thanks so much to kathy for all the organizing shes done for the little girl!

The girl had been living with two tumours for god knows how long and you wouldn’t think it, she appears to be very healthy on the outside
I’ll post about her progress and more details when I bring her home tomorrow.

Snowy says a big thank you to everyone who donated :)

I just collected Snowy from the vets today and
shes as energetic as ever. You’d never think she just had a major operation yesterday  the painkillers definitley haven’t worn off yet.

The tumours were completely removed but the vet thinks that they are malignant which means there is chance of them growing back. . . if this will definitely happen or not its unknown but please don’t let this put you off the little girl, shes a big bundle of love and is the strongest dog I think I’ve ever been in the company of, aswell as other endearing qualities that she has. I will post more details after I bring her for her check-up.

She is in really good health beside it, Her kidney and liver function is excellent, she has a little heart murmur but it shouldn’t cause her much problems.
Its difficult to tell yet if shes actually fully toilet trained or not yet.. but when she recovers I’ll work on it with her.

She got spayed aswell so shes a lot of recovering to do! I’ll include pictures when shes feeling better, even though shes acting like it already :D :D She’ll hopefully nap for the rest of the day once she calms down. She’s so so glad to be back and appreciates being loved so much! It’s adorable. :) :)

Thank god for animals like her in this world, it makes you strive to be more optimistic in your life.

Thanks for all the kind words guys.
Snowy is so active , shes been playing non stop and venturing out into the garden and following us around… Shes an amazing role model !
She slept for a few hours last night I made sure I stayed with her, I was woken up with kisses , what a lovely morning greeting ! :)
It really is amazing how much strength she has, she hasn’t shown one sign that shes in any pain and I’m not just saying that cause I’m her foster mom! Its true :P Shes a fighter :)

She was brought to the vets again today because her outer stitching came apart on one of her wounds! She didn’t show any signs of pain, at all, shes been really lively since the day she came home… it’s incredible.
The vet and his partner loved her and loved taking care of her in the vet she was very well behaved.
She loves human attention, absolutely loves it.
She has stopped urinating frequently in the house so she was actually toilet trained to begin with.
She cries when I leave her in the house when I’m at the shops so I’ve been told non stop until I come home.
Shes got a "trendy" bandage on her stomach now to help quicken the healing process. She looks like a fashionista!

The "cons" Of her personality are almost non-existent. shes a lovable well behaved fun energetic dog. however.

    She Doesn’t like cats
can be picky with what dogs she likes/dislikes when out on a walk, sometimes its best to keep her on a short lead when A dog arrives.
Stops frequently when out on a walk and its hard to get her to follow your lead!
These are so minuscule though and can be worked on.

Poor little girl having been so uncomfortable for so long and never complaining she is really a star. ;)
This small girl really needs a home to call her own now where she will be loved and looked after.
If she was human you most likely have heard about all the symptoms and problems to date.
This is why we need to help animals, be their voice and do something about it.
Don’t sit back and say I wish I could help…………..you can, every little effort makes a difference.
Maybe in Snowy’s case you know a friend of a friend who could potentially be her forever home. Just act and do something about it , don’t wait for someone else to do it, be pro-active………these dogs need it.

Snowy had her checkup today, she’s healing fine and will be getting her stitches out early next week.
She’s a very lively girl she’s constantly following, running and jumping up on laps and knees to give kisses and receive cuddles in return.
She adores play time with her teddy’s ,is not lazy and is always on the go lol, she calms down in the evening time when people are in her company, she feels safe and secure and will take a nap then but when shes on her own she waits and waits for someone to come in to her and mind her.
She’s trained well, she will wait when asked to, but, its still quite hard getting her to move on when out walking or stop when chasing cats.
She knows when shes done something cheeky! :P
She loves people and is fine with strangers.
My friend came over last night and she got an amazing greeting from Snowy who was leaping up, wagging the tail like mad trying to get her attention, I was out of the picture for a while ha ha.

She has a good few years left in her and knowing how energetic and fun she is I’ve a feeling she might stick around for a while longer.
What a true stallion she is!!
Shes an inspiration to any human never mind a dog that are experiencing health issues similar to her. :D

Thanks again to everyone who donated towards Snowy’s operation, shes a lot more energetic and happy now and thanks to Dogs In Distress and its supporters she will live out the rest of her days content, happy and pain free. Thank you!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

snowy will be getting all her stiches out today, it looks like her wounds have healed well which is great.
something is different in her now, shes lively all the time she must feel so much better after getting the tumours removed.
    she never stops!
she loves getting attention of newcomers. She wants to show her love to everyone :P she lies on her belly looking for rubs beside the new person and looks for constant rubs off them. She doesn’t go near you when theres someone new around, she tries her best to impress them! Its very cute.
I havn’t been able to bring her on proper walks yet, it was advised my the vet to try get her to rest as much as possible at home, even that in itself has been a challenge!!!
She adores! being out with nature and when you bring her out she gets really hyper for a while as if she was getting a huge treat, she loves walking :) she doesn’t pull on the lead but is stubborn when she doesn’t want to walk in your direction.
fingers crossed that her wounds have fully healed, I’ll write up about the vets soon.

snowy got her stitches out yesterday
she was so well behaved when they were being removed.
there wasn’t a pep out of her no struggle or wiggle either, shes a star.
I can finally walk her normally again!, Her heart murmur will mean that she shouldn’t take part in too much exercise no more than a half an hour is needed incase she gets out of breath. Although she never does, she barly pants much either.
shes doing great and is now looking for her forever home.

She deserves a loving home to live out the rest of her life a life in which shell constantly be giving out love to everyone who loves her back!

Shes a clever girl, she knows some parts of the deck she can’t jump up on so she takes a different route and jumps up on the smaller steps, she waits when you ask her two and doesn’t chance her arm! she understands most commands except for COME ON PLEASEE ect.! when were out on a walk, she just loves being out so much :P
shes jumping around on the couch at.m playing with her teddy, i’ll upload some new pictures as soon as my partner comes back with his camera!
    thanks for reading :)
