That’s a lovely picture! Glad to hear she’s doing well.
TinneVMemberAnother few pictures. We had guests yesterday, and Pearl got on with them all very well. She’s currently recovering from her operation (she wasn’t spayed yet, but as of today, she is). Poor girl doesn’t know how to walk with such a big cone around her neck, thankfully she won’t have to wear it for too long. She’s really opened up to us in the last few days, I think. She loves keeping you company, for example by lying next to the bed or sitting at your feet while you’re reading. Last night she slept on the rug in my bedroom for the first time, without any accidents or attempts to wake me up, though it took her a little while to settle down. However she pretty much ignored the two guinea pigs that were there, which I think is a good sign, at least. She knows how to keep herself busy for a while by tossing around bones or toys and stalking them before leaping onto them, which is a joy to see.

WP_000541.jpgTinneVMemberPearl came to us a two days ago, and has already stolen our hearts. Despite her young age she is surprisingly big, which is why she’s sometimes dubbed "the giant". As active as any puppy, seeing her run will bring a smile to your face, although commands such as ‘come here’ haven’t been mastered yet; instead she takes to running in circles around you and racing past you when called. Sadly she hasn’t been housetrained yet either, but we are working on it. She is affectionate and friendly, and she loves to give hugs. She likes to play fetch and loves to gnaw on bones.
She isn’t the best at learning or paying attention when there’s no tasty rewards in sight, but she has mastered sitting and will give paws now even when she’s not asked. We’re working on "stay" and "come" now, and since her breed is so intelligent, I’m sure she’ll pick it up soon.

WP_000535.jpgTinneVMemberAnother update: we’ve discovered that Jake has the cute tendency to softly bark in his sleep, probably dreaming about chasing cats.
He gets less distracted by other dogs now; he will want to say hi when he’s off his leash, but he’ll follow you after a little while when you call him, there’s not always the need to go get him. Since I haven’t mentioned before: Jake is a lovely dog and house-trained. He’s incredibly welcoming to new people and well-loved by all the visitors that have come to our house.
He is very playful and energetic, I’ve known him to run in circles around me in the park. Despite that, he will still cuddle with you at night without getting restless (most of the time). Now that he’s groomed, he looks much much younger and his fur is so soft you won’t be able to stop petting him.
TinneVMemberFresh from the groomers! And finished with a little bow. He’s practically a new dog.

WP_000488.jpgTinneVMemberUpdate: Jake has mastered sitting and giving paws, he’ll do either with enthusiasm! We’re thinking of teaching him to lie down or giving high fives next. Meanwhile more practical ‘tricks’ like coming here, getting down… admittedly still need some work. However, he’s been doing great. Though he won’t come easily when called in the park, he does let himself get caught with minimal effort. He barely pulls anymore while on the leash, excepting when he’s just getting out or when seeing a new dog he wants to meet. He knows he can only get on a surface like a bed when his special blanket is spread out and he generally won’t go into the kitchen. While energetic at times, he will settle down on his bed for as much as an hour or longer when you don’t have time for him. That aside, we think he would be very happy in a family that has other dogs, or where one of the members is home a lot. Cats and staying on his own aren’t his strong side.

WP_000482.jpgTinneVMemberCuddling after a walk. He’s learned to sit (though not on walks since there’s too much to see). I’ve a feeling he’ll know how to give paws soon as well.
