My little man was neutered yesterday. He was not impressed at being taken out in the car so early and with NO breakfast. All went well and he was still a bit drowsy when we collected him. Slept all the way home. After checking things hadn’t changed in his absence – that all his toys were still there and everything smelt the same – he went into his bed and had a snooze. Had a dinner of chicken and rice which he scoffed and then of course it was back to bed for a snooze. He does not have a cone and is very good at not licking the stiches. Gave him another little snack before bed, he did his business out the back and came straight in and went to bed. Completely back to normal today. Hard to believe how quickly they bounce back.
This little guy is incredible. He is so affectionate and gentle. He loves to be close to me. If I am at the sink he squeezes in front of my legs and lies across my feet. The same when I am at the cooker.
There will be tears when he goes to his forever home.siobhanMemberA few more photos.

DSCF2219.JPGsiobhanMemberCharlie is doing fantastic. He has really wonderful personality. He loves everyone and is quite gentle when playing with my two boys. He sits and waits till he is told to eat his food and is getting better at taking food from the hand.
We were relaxing in front of the fire last week watching a movie and he spent ages trying to get up on a lap for a snuggle. He then decided to wrestle with Luna until she barked at him to give it up. She loves nothing more than to lie in front of the fire. He eventually did likewise.

DSCF2212.JPGsiobhanMemberI am delighted that he is on the mend. He really is a beautiful cat. His personality seems a lot like that of my cat Daisy. She is a scream. She only has 3 legs but thinks she is Spiderman. She also has a thing for bags. Paper bags, plastic bags, schoolbags she just loves them. She crawls in and will stay there for hours. Well she is housebound so I suppose she has to amuse herself somehow.
Hope all goes well for him with the Vet tomorrow.siobhanMemberJust wondering how Lucky is doing after his operation ?.
siobhanMemberCharlie is doing really well. His toilet training is still going great – he has not had an accident in the house in over 3 weeks. Enjoys his walks, is really good off lead and his recall is excellent. Still loves everyone, he is a really sociable little man. He can play and play all day and will still want to play some more. He is a fairly active puppy and will need a home where he will receive daily exercise. Have attached some more photos of him with my boys.

DSCF2187.JPGsiobhanMemberCharlie is 19 weeks old now and is doing great. He has grown quite a bit and I reckon he will be about Labrador size when fully grown. He loves his walks and gives no problem on the lead. He is also good off lead and has great recall. Loves to play with his toys and other dogs. He still loves his cuddles and is very gentle when playing with my two boys (aged 12 and 9) and is very obedient for them. Is great at giving kisses. He eats well and has no food agression at all. His coat is so soft and glossy. I wish I could get my hair to look that good !!!. He will sit and stay on command, give the paw and lie down. He will make a great addition to any family.

DSCF2134.JPGsiobhanMemberThis little guy is being looked after by my friend Juliette for while as I am away with work.
He is coming on great. Sleeps in the crate all night and not a peep. Loves to wrestle with her dog (also called Charlie) all day long and to play with his toys. He is getting a lot taller so he will be at least medium size when he is fully grown. Is quite good on the lead and has no problem keeping up with the other dogs. Has taken to jumping up on the couch for a cuddle. He is a real snuggler. Toilet training is coming on. Still has the odd accident in the house but will do his business immediately he is let out. Juliette has taught him to sit and stay and is working on teaching him to lie down.
I think that Charlie would be best suited to a home with another dog as he really loves canine company.Or a home where there will be someone there all day. He has a fantastic personality and gets on great with people, dogs and children. Will post some up to date photos later in the week.
If you think you can offer Charlie his forever home please complete an adoption application form, have a Home Visit done and come and meet him…..
siobhanMemberThanks for you comments guys. Yes he is gorgeous. His coat is like silk and his eyes are stunning. He has settled in well and gets on really well with the two dogs. His toilet training is coming along nicely. He does his business every time he is let out and at night will do it on the newspapers – really clever boy. He LOVES his food. He is a bit on the thin side but we are working on plumping him up. He has already learned to sit and give the paw – thanks to Juliette and Elizabeth. No issues at night time either. No problems with you touching his food while he is eating or his toys. He is a real snuggler though. He was on my lap last night having a snuggle and next thing he was fast asleep with his head flopped over my arm. It was a real Kodak moment. He was vaxed and chipped last night too and not a peep. Such a brave little man. He has a lovely personality and adores the two boys. The jury is out on how he feels about the cat. But it’s early days yet. Will post up more photos in the next few days.
If you are interested in adopting Charlie please go to Forms and Downloads and submit an Adoption application.siobhanMemberA few more photos of this little man.

DSCF2060.JPGsiobhanMemberThis little man is in foster with me. He has a lovely personality and temperament. Gets along great with my own dog and my mothers King Charles and all the dogs we meet on our walks. Is mad about my two boys and gets really excited when they come home from school. He loves his food and his treats. He likes to go to bed at about 10.30 and he sleeps all night without a peep. He is very Terrier like in appearance now as you can see from the photos I took last week. He is nearly 19 weeks old. He is vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and must be neutered at six months.

DSCF2053.JPGsiobhanMemberWell Indianna I think picture of the day is this one I took about 15 minutes later. He had changed position and just as I was taking a picture in his new position he stretched, rolled over and fell off. His legs are quite short but his paws are not really that big and he has grown very little in the last 4 weeks. Hard to tell what his adult size will be – small to meduim maybe.
DSCF1999.JPGsiobhanMemberApologies for the lack of posts and pictures. We have been down the country. Little man comes with us when we go and he is brilliant in the car, he just curls up and goes to sleep. He was vaccinated and microchipped two weeks ago and he was great, not a peep out of him. Has had his 2nd vaccination this morning so is ready to go.
He has a fanastic personality. He is very affectionate and playful and loves his cuddles. When we are down with my mother she snuggles him like a baby and sings to him and he falls asleep in her arms. He is really sociable with both people and dogs and is mad about children. He is a great sleeper. He gets into bed himself at about 10 o’clock and I have to lift him out to do his business before I go to bed. He sleeps all night and will not move till I come down in the morning – sometimes not till 9am !!!. He was crying in the kitchen last Thursday and I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him. Then I realised that the door to his crate was closed over and he couldn’t get into bed. Has a dry crate every morning and is doing well with the training during the day. Has the odd accident in the house(mostly my fault for forgetting to take him out). Funny though he never has an accident in my mothers house. He will potter outside by himself when he needs to go. He would fit very well into any family including one with cats. He was 10 weeks old last Thursday and as you can see from his pictures he is still quite small.

DSCF2017.JPGsiobhanMemberThis little man will be wormed, microchipped and at least have his frist vaccination before being rehomed. He must be neutered at 6 months. He has settled in quite well here. He is only 8 weeks old and is a very intellient puppy. He loves his food and his sleep, is very playful and gets on very well with our cat and other dogs. Loves to play with my two boys. His favourite toy is an orange squeaky ball. The toilet traning is going well. Only one accident in the crate since he arrived. He now sleeps all night without a peep and goes ouside in the morning to do his business. He has a very dominant personality which is understandable given the breed. He will need a home that has experience with Huskies and perhaps an older dog to keep him in check.

DSCF1990.JPGsiobhanMemberThis little man has been with us for just over a week now and has settled in very well. He is a really friendly pup and he just loves everybody – even our cat. Ringo loves his food and his treats and is learing to be very obedient. He has already learnt "sit", "no" and "don’t touch". The toilet training is nearly there and he now goes to sleep at night without a peep. He enjoys his food and like myself doesn’t like to eat too early in the morning. They get breakfast at 8 but it could be 9 or 9.30 before Ringo decides he is ready to eat his. He is very energetic and loves to play ball and chase my dog round the garden. She normally comes in and lies in a quiet corner exhausted while he tries to persuade her to keep playing- and she is a collie x !!!. My 3 boys were practicing hurling in the garden the other evening but he kept stealing the ball and it was impossible to get it back because he runs so fast in and out of the shrubs. He is going for trials for Dublin next week !!!. The boys adore him and he them. But he has formed a really good bond with my dog. He follows her everywhere and sits looking up at her with adoration. And she in turn is very taken with him – she still wont let him near her food bowl though. Himself and the cat have come to an understanding – he wont chase her and she wont attack him. They can now inhabit the same space with no problems. So he is a real all-rounder who just loves company – canine, feline or human.
