Well Holly watched the X Factor with me and Merlin tonight – she stole Merlins beloved blanket, bone, bowls, his kong but most important his heart! He just follows her about and every now and again she lets him lick her face and ears! Aw my Merlin! I want to rename them Diana and Eoghan! coz they look a bit like em…
sharon_caseyMemberWell! Holly was a stray brought into a vets – she was microchipped but the owner when contacted didn’t want her back so she was then brought to Ashton – the Vet who I know was cut up about it because he thought she was such a nice dog – my Merlin is being rehomed soon – so I said I’d take her and find her a home so the Vet organised her a get out of jail free card so she’s with me now – I was just going rehome Holly by myself so I put up ads on gumtree/irishanimals but then thankfully I was told I could rehome her through DID so I really went the long way about it.
Holly is a really lovely young dog – good with kids/other dogs/cats/crates/on the lead & with food/toys. Gives bear hugs and loves cuddles!
sharon_caseyMemberHis new do looks like the Fragglerock dog as well!

Hope this works!
sharon_caseyMembersharon_caseyMemberWe have had Merlin in foster now for roughly 6 weeks and his really a great dog. He is a completely different dog now to the day we got him. When we got him he had to be put on few different med’s and a prescription diet and generally had a very sore backside. He’s finished all med’s now/back on normal food and is so full of energy his more like a puppy. He gets on great with my two cats who are slowly coming around to the idea of sharing their owners. He is great with kids and other dogs. He loved Halloween! He wore a little witch’s hat and all the kids petted him when they were getting sweets! He is very good on the lead but has a hit & miss re-call. He is not good around cars. He responses to all commands except stay & lie down within the house. He will bark (has a loud bark) if we go upstairs and leave him down stairs but does not bark if we leave the house through the front door. He is not destructive when left alone but will not eat unless we are in the room with him even treats such as his kongs or bones. He is not aggressive over food at all. I can take a treat/toy off him no problem. Though I don’t think he was house trained he picked it up very quickly and we’ve had no incidents. He picks up any training very quickly. He was quite matted and had been licking himself excessively making himself cough up furballs so unfortunately he had to lose his lovely locks for the time being! He now looks rather silly and more like Terrrier Cross Chinese Crested Power-Puff. In the groomers he was afraid of everything but never aggressive so he just needs a few visits to get used to it. He still enjoys licking the cats and cushions! The vet thinks his between 2-3yrs. His health is good esp. his teeth. He has gained 3kg (all muscle!) with us so far and is nearly up to his ideal weight. He got neutered yesterday and looks very silly with his cone on. We got blood tests done while he was in and results should be Friday. Getting him up to date with his vaccinations will be finished hopefully within the next fortnight.
We have put in a bid for Merlin ourselves but if we don’t succeed we’d like Merlin to go to active family with older children (Merlin does get excited and jump up on people) in a country home because of how jumpy he is around traffic where he has someone to follow and adore all day long. Merlin would make an excellent addition to any family – all he wants is owners to please!
Also anyone know how I put up photos?
