    Hi all,
I just wanted to update you on Daphne, the cocker pup we have adopted. We have her since 19th December, and wanted to foster her initially, so we could establish that she would get along with our dog Dale, a 3 year old male cocker, and our 1 and a half year old son, Darragh.
Daphne was very nervous at first, and didn’t leave my side without crying..we were a little worried at first, because we did have teething problems with her being over protective, and a little snappy, so have had to keep an eye on her. She cried the first night when we went to bed, but not a peep since. I think it’s important to give any dog time to readjust and settle into a new home after such a big change so early in their lives. Daphne has gone from strength to strength in her time here. She is really enjoying her walks in the snow, and loves being off the lead, running rings around poor Dale. She’s a bundle of fun, and we are delighted with her. She’s learning new tricks every day, and is as smart as a fox. I would really encourage anyone who had the time, and the dedication to adopt a dog and give them the home they deserve.
Thanks to dogs in distress for putting us in contact with Daphne’s family, I’m sure it wasn’t easy for them to surrender such a lovely dog.
