I read an article about this in the Irish Times when the new legislation was introduced and I’m pretty sure it only applies to public property eg. public parks, council estates etc.
It’s a real shame about some of the breeds on the list- but usually when asked you can say that your dog is a mix or a different breed. Most people who are afraid of dogs wouldn’t have much knowledge to be able to distuinguish the different types. Naturally enough.
Niamh87MemberThat’s great news! I’d love to see some pics of her now.
Niamh87MemberThose are lovely pictures of Maisy. I had her out on Friday just for a short walk.
She is such a lively, energetic and playful dog that being in the pound for so long has made her quite frustrated and is a bit agressive with the other dogs (not at all with people.) A few minutes of walking and she’s fine but she really needs to get out soon.
Niamh87MemberI saw Chuck on Friday- he looked tiny beside two giant dogs.
Sadly I have no more good photographs of him but maybe it would be a good idea to put a note at the beginning of this topic to look at the more recent pages about him. (Or put a newer picture on the 1st page?) He’s grown into a really gorgeous dog.
Niamh87MemberWas very suprised to see Maisy still in today- she’s such a catch! She’s probably around one? But deceptively small, she’s only as tall as my knees!
Niamh87MemberI believe I walked Chuck today- all grown up.
He’s a very attractive dog with a shiny coat, a white T on his belly and big, orange eyes. He loves to run and is affectionate but not too much of a handful.
He is frightened of traffic but I think that’s fair enough if he’s had so little experience of it. He’s friendly with but not that interested in other dogs. A really lovely dog.Niamh87MemberWalked Maisy today. She is young and in very good condition. She got on very well with a few different types of dog on our walk and walked well on the lead (but needs a little bit more experience.) She is a lovely, friendly dog and would be ideal for any household. I don’t know about the cats- she would probably be inquisitive but is otherwise harmless!
She is a good medium sized dog- in good shape and very managable.
