Joey (Blue) has settled in really well in his new home and is doted on by his new mom and dad and hundreds of aunties, uncles and cousins
. A little sweetheart who loves a walk lots of cuddles and then a long snooze…but not too near the fire.20130203_180125.jpgjoey.jpgDudley has settled in really well with our family, a true gent. He has his appetite back and has lost some of his wariness. He is stunning to look at with a beautiful soft red coat and a gentle nature. He loves to go out and steps into his harness himself
. When he is out he becomes over excited and pulls very hard on the lead so we have to hold on to him tight. I would love if anyone had any tips for helping to calm him down when we are out. He has a big deep bark which we hear mainly when he meets other dogs out walking, in the house he is as quiet as a mouse and is getting on really well with our spaniel despite her not being the most friendly dog herself! He knows lots of commands, sit, stay, down etc All in all a lovely pet for someone looking for a big friendly, loving and playful dog who is happy to put some work into socialising him to the outside world.
As you can see from the photo he loves to snooze….20130128_200416.jpgDudley slept all night without a peep and greeted us with a happy face and a waggy tail in the morning. He is slow to eat, only taking food from my hand but is drinking away so I reckon he will be grand on that front in a few days. He is strong on the lead and finds bicycles and people VERY interesting, that said I took him out and kept talking to him the whole way trying to keep his attention on me and I think he was less frantic. He is a clever dog and I would say with a bit of perseverence he will calm down and be a wonderful pet. My kids love him and he is great in the house, a big softie as you can see from the pictures

I took him out for a walk and he was so excited to be out he really took me . He is very puppy like in his ways when outside getting overexcited about passing bikes and people so he will need some training to steady him down a bit. He is quite happy to go off to sleep sometimes sleeping with all four paws in the air like a pup We are delighted to have him come to stay but I will have to have my wits about me when I take him out walking.Dudley.jpgI met Blue today and what a sweetie he is, am so happy he is going to his forever home on Friday and am delighted that I am related to the people adopting him so I can see him too
Wow Harvey aren’t you handsome. What a ball of fluff you were when you had a short stay with us and look at you now. It’s great to hear you are all getting on so well together.

We will really miss him. He is a gorgeous pup full of love and fun and as soft and cuddly as a teddy bear. We wish Harvey and his new brothers and sister ( human ones ) and mom and dad all the best.Harvey has only been with us for two hours and the clever little fella did two ( enormous) piddles in the garden all by himself
He is a big bundle of fur really soft and cuddly and very happy and friendly. Juno and himself are getting on well and have had a mad game of round and round the garden already Harvey is fast asleep now all the excitement has taken its toll We are really looking forward to meeting him
I have bought a giant size roll of kitchen paper just in case his change of address sets him back a bit Great news for Elvis…he is packing up his bag and getting ready to join his forever family later this week. It will be hard for us to let him go and Juno will have no one to play round and round the kitchen table with ( unless she persuades me to ! ) anymore. We wish Elvis and his new family all the best for the future and we look forward to seeing his story move to the Happy Endings Forum. It has been a great experience for us to foster a dog and Elvis was our first but won’t be our last

PICT0015.JPGElvis is back with us after a weeks holidays with another foster mum cos we were away. He is in great form and himself and Juno are reestablishing the pecking order in the house. Elvis has lost his timid ways and is a confident dog now.
