Holly went to meet the family, who were interested in her. And she absolutely loved them. Usually, she is very shy around new people, but she got into the house, even found the food and the sleeping place of their own dog. (which usually not they way she behaves with strangers)
She also met Munch – little terrier that lives in the house. She played with him, run with him around the house and really enjoyed her time.
So Holly made 3 new friends today and can’t wait to become part of their family.
JennyCMemberquick update on Holly.
She is doing great. Her shyness has magically disappeared. She is running with our cats around the house, enjoying the games with our dog and even manages to steal the ball from him (and he never gives it away).
The only bad habit she has – she likes to chew things. No, not the wires or furniture. Her favourite – is plastic of any kind. However, it is easy to manage – get her a plastic, strong toy – and it keeps her happy forever, until she destroys it. As long as she has a toy – she will never touch anything. So, everything under control.
She is also a fan of bananas and cabbage She is very health dog, is very active and managed to lose some weight, as recommended by the vet. She is quiet around the house, but would demand some attention, once she notices that you are not busy. She greets me every morning, before going for a walk.We walk without the lead at all, because she is very well trained, responds well to her name and is very careful with the dogs and people around her, and would examine them first, before approaching anyone.
JennyCMemberA quick update on Holly.
She is doing great. After visiting a vet last week, when she was spayed (well she had an operation before, but they had to open her to check) she is now back to active lifestyle.
Holly gets plenty of walks and really enjoys them. She is a quiet dog, no hassle at home at all. Even in a garden, she would not run around, unless you encourage her.She gets very well with our dog and she is good with kids. It just takes her some time to accept a new person, but once she does – she enjoys the company.
And some photos:

2014-04-19 18.16.35.jpgJennyCMemberHi, well, this little lady arrived to us last Thursday. Thanks to Philip who picked her up from the pound.
We called her Jingle, as she responds very well to this name and it suits her.
She is very shy and timid. She is 100% house trained and has good manners, however what ever happened to her in her short life – she became very afraid of men. She is not aggressive, however when my husband tries to pt her – she gets to the ground, hides and sometimes even accidents happen. When i am next to her, she would accept any company, so i believe she just needs time.
Jingle is very smart. She actually escaped today, when my husband was trying to get her into the car. Although, she spent with us less than a week – she found her way home back to us herself.
She is getting well with our cats, well she simply ignores them, she get on well with our own dog and dogs in a park. smart, but very shy lady. I believe she will come out, just needs time.JennyCMemberCathy, i think we can give it a try. I was going to text you. Do you have anyone available?
I do not think size matters for Dilly, as he reacts the same. I think middle sized dog would be even better, because he at least doesn’t have enough courage get into the fight.JennyCMemberAnd Dilly is back to Ireland.
I was transferred by my company back in July to Scotland, which was initially to be 8 weeks. Well, we are just back and Dilly is back home again. He did enjoy Scotland, but recently it got very cold in there and he is one of those fussy dogs, who just hates wet and cold. I probably should bring him to live to Spain, as the only weather he enjoys is nice and warm. Sometimes he even refuses to go for a walk if he knows it is raining.
He still follows me around the house, but he learned to enjoy his free time as well. He is a real sweetheart. Sometimes when i look a him i wonder, what kind of people could give him up. He is adorable dog.
The only problem which is not going away, is Dilly not liking any other dogs. He is with us almost a year, however he sill get very angry and jealous with other dogs being around.
JennyCMemberHere are some pictures is this great little dog.
We changed his name a bit to Dilly, as it is a bit easier to pronounce, and he doesn’t seem mind.
He is now 100% settled in and feels like he has been with us since the beginning.
He is very smart. Despite being two years old, he learned the command ‘sit’ in two weeks. He knows what you are asking of him.
He follows me everywhere. Even at night. He sleeps in the same room as we are, but even during the night he gets up to follow me into the kitchen, if i want water or anything else. It is like he is afraid that I will disappear. It is not the same with my husband. he lets him go, he doesn’t follow him, it is just me. Hope this will pass with time.
He is a lovely dog and we are very happy that we adopted him. He is great with children and loves them.

photo (10).JPGJennyCMemberour little buddy is staying with us forever he is so cute, so i just couldn’t imagine myself giving him away. He is also a right size for our house and our cats finally acknowledged him as being part of our family.
He also got a friend today, called Lucy. She is lovely, but Deelo is over protective of his home, of his toys, of everything. he really doesn’t like sharing, so we are working on it. Lucy is very patient and i am glad Deelo has someone to play with while we are at work.JennyCMemberhere are some photos of sweet Deelo

Deelo3.JPGJennyCMemberOh, Deelo is so sweat, it is impossible not to spoil him. He has so much energy, so sometimes is driving us crazy in a good way with his ball. But we can’t say no to him, as it is a lot of pleasure to watch him play.
Yesterday we went to see our friends and took Deelo with us. There were two children in our friends house, age 3.5 and 7. Deelo absolutely loves kids. He was following the youngster, playing with him, licking his nose. They were playing for 4 hours straight and Deelo still was bringing the ball to the kinds, as he enjoyed their company so much.
I think Deelo would love to have a family with kids or at least he would suit an active family who would have time to play with him.
Unfortunately he doesn’t like other dogs. He is more or less ok with big dogs, but he doesn’t like his size dogs. He becomes a bit angry and frustrated. He like all attention to be at him only and doesn’t want to share it. He is now ok with cats, so he would not mind one at home, as long as he is reminded that he is not allowed to chase themThis energetic boy is still looking for his forever home. Believe me when i say, this boy is sweat and will love you with all his heart and more. He is great on the lead, his recall is very good, he is very smart and fast learner. He would be a great addition to any family.
JennyCMemberjust some photos from todays walk. He is so full of energy, so rarely stops for me to make a picture

photo copy.JPGJennyCMemberDeelo has settled very well with us. After explaining for two days, that cats are not in a house for him to bark at, he finally understood it and he is now ignoring them all together. He is very smart and understands everything very quickly. I let him of the lead today for the first time. His recall is good, but they easiest way to get him back is to show him his favorite tennis ball. Every time he sees it – he runs back to grab it.
He is a real guard dog. He was barking twice this night, but our neighbours were having late party, so he was responding to the noise. Great dog. He is a real sweetheart, full of energy, but also likes to sleep. preferably in my bed next to me or my husband.
He is 100% house trained, no accidents and he shows when he really wants out.JennyCMemberDeelo arrived to our house yesterday. His first interaction with our two cats was not smooth at all. He barked at them and tried to chase them around the house. But it is not so easy to scary our cats. We try to discipline Deelo every time he tries to bark at them and it seems to be working very well and he is learning quickly.
He also sleeps a lot, and the favorite place is next to someone. He doesn’t like to be left alone.
First night was stressful, he was crying a bit, but after we took him into our room, he slept peacefully.
He is very cute. He likes to play with a ball. He is limping a bit after the accident he had, but this doesn’t bother him at all and he is full of life and energy.JennyCMemberjust want to drop a little note about Rosie and her new owner Michael.
They called twice just to share on how they are happy with Rosie and how Rosie is settling in.
She absolutely like her new home. She also gets lost of attention from Michaels’ granddaughter. They meet every morning and first they do is to hug each other.
Rosie also gets lost of walks on the beach, she meets penny of other dogs and enjoys it very much. She still demands that some one would go to the garden with her, as she refuses to be there alone. But in fairness, if she has to wake up at 7am, why everyone else should stay in bed? It wouldn’t be Rosie, is she didn’t force someone to go there with her.I am delighted for her, and thank you so much to Michael for calling and telling me all those details from Rosies’ life.
JennyCMemberCongratulations. It looks eventually it is going to work out well for all the Lab family, as Rosie (the mummy) found her forever home and is happy, Marley is at home now. Well done. I am so happy for him.
