Libby is saying goodbye this evening, and going to her forever home. After all the squabbling Lucy my shih tzu is hugging & kissing her :)
Probably just as well she is going, as the three dogs were spread out together on the couch last night, and there was no room for anyone to sit! i never thought they would settle together but they did.

it has been a great experience, and one i have always wanted but never had the time. It is hard work, but very, very rewarding, i truly have never had such adoration ;)

looking forward to my next foster already, but will have a week or two break.

    plus :D

We had an amazing week end with Libby, as I’ve said her only problem was with my small shih tzu, this ensured that I was cautious not to leave the dogs unattended together, and at times this was all consuming. Nobody at fault just dogs being dogs.

Well lo & behold on Friday night my Lucy started dancing in and out and around Libby, Libby’s tail started wagging non stop (she has the waggiest tale ever) and since then they have had some great play sessions, it just worked out, I think Libby stopped being afraid?

It is amazing that in such a short time Libby’s confidence has grown so much, she is going to make a fabulous addition to her new owners.

    :D :D :D

:D Libby continues to do very well, she had no problems after her little op, and not even a scar, well done expert vet :P

Libby does’nt like the rain, we went for a walk 3 dogs on a lead, never thought I could do this as I am a slow walker, but all so good, and their mission is to sniff every tree and lamp post and I don’t mind. I notice Libby is a dog, that spends ages cleaning her paws etc when she gets a bit dirty, which is a great habit, compared to some Shih tzus I know :!: who dont mind dragging dirt on to couch :)

Anyway, all 3 dogs asleep, and all is well!

Libby is well settled down now, she is still not keen on one of my dogs but aside from that one little thing, she is perfect. She loves the heat of the fire, and snuggling down by my side or watching TV, she is just such a relaxed dog, once she gets her two walks, I have to say off the lead she is a phenominally fast runner ( i let her have a little run-a-bout in an enclosed area) she came back to me when I whistled, so clever. She is going to the vets tmaro for neutering, and we will have to have some special treats for her after that :P .

She loves her crate with her soft cosy bed. She does’nt really understand yet treats & toys, but in time hopefully she will.

My two grown up daughters love Libby, and call her a ‘real dog’. She is terrific on the lead, and has been a cinch to house train, what a great breed.

I know she will be going to a great new home, and they will be so lucky to get her, and I will be sad, but totally enjoying the experience. :P

Quick update on Libby. She slept very well last night and seemed delighted to be warm & cosy in her crate.

She has such a lovely nature, and wants to get on my knee, but is training well to sit by my feet. She is very clever and learns quickly.
My two dogs have been keeping her amused wrestling, she doesn’t know what to make of them and seems very much a puppy herself.

Its early days, so she settling in well, walking well on lead and adapted well.

Hi, I got Libby today and as it was my first foster dog was bit bit nervous, but she has been as good as gold settled into her crate quite well, watched my two wrestling on the rug all evening, she seemed amazed at everything she saw.

I haven’t let her off the lead with two smallies in the house, will try tomorrow, but she is truly lovely, with just a few adjustments, she will be highly desired as a pet.

My two are a bit spoiled and it will do them no harm at all.
Might get to the beach, will post some pics asap, she looks lovely if a bit baldy. Will will have a fab red glossy coat when its grown.

Ps. She loves a bit of cheese for a treat.
