I have had Molly with me now since wednesday…apologies for the delay in this post but my broadband was only repaired today.

Molly is an older dog but such a lady and with a fabulous attitude. She came from a very good home and it shows. She has settled here very well and has taken quite a shine to my fiance …she is his shadow.

Right now she is napping under the table which seems to be her favoured spot for some down time. She is fully housetrained. In fact, she will not even do her business on my patio or flower bed – like a horse she will only pee on grass! So we go for outings quite a bit.

Her first night she whined a bit but now happily sleeps downstairs in her bed – or if she is feeling rebelious (and knows we are asleep) she will sneak up and sleep at the top of the stairs outside our bedroom door.

She does get spooked by loud bangs and people knocking on the door. But the latter is a good thing I think for security – the important thing is that she stops when you tell her to.

Molly is good with kids, strangers etc – dogs she really has no interest in. They can come up, jump on her, sniff…and she just kind of lets them at it.

I let her off the lead once in my local park to test her recall and she bolted – ran out the gate and back to the house. She knew the house after 24 hours – incredible. But on the streets by my house she will sit outside and walk beside you if you walk to the shops. It is bizarre. She seems to hate open spaces and gets quite freaked. I could be wrong but unless I have an enclosed space I won’t let her off the lead.

Molly is just perfect for those who want a dog that isn’t high maintenance, that will sit at your feet during the day and only asks to be brought for a few short walks and play with her squeaky toy.

I can take this guy on monday morning first thing for a week for sure. I am between homes at the moment (renovating) but have fostered before. I should be able to sort something after the week but I would like to get him out of the pound as soon as possible. Let me know if I can pick him up on Monday! Looking forward to meeting him….

Thanks for the pictures Ciaran. He looks superb. Yes he does seem to have an inner radar that can hone in on dirt from miles away. He was willing to swim in the sea with us but was really at his happiest prancing about in some pretty rancid water in the Phoenix Park…
Glad to hear it’s going so well,
    Emma

Oh my god he is stunning – a great foster pup. Can’t believe how much he’s grown since I had him.

Some things never change. See from his second foster mum that he could jump up on kitchen counters and window sills. Even when he was tiny his vertical leaps astounded us!

Glad to see he is doing so well. Such a handsome thing :D

Am so glad to hear he is getting on well. Been eager to hear – checking the site everyday!

I fostered Hobbs and found him to be the most amazing dog I have ever meet. Still have his pic up on our fridge! Miss him lots.

Thanks for giving him all the adventures – he’ll dive head first into anything once you’re with him. The dogs on our street are still mourning his departure….

Hobbs is getting on great. He is quite the cool kid on the block with the dogs in my local park. I have totally fallen for him and it will be really tough to let him go.

Someone has sent in adoption papers for him – just waiting to hear back from someone from DID about his application.

Hobbs has responded really well to training and his recall is superb….bolts towards you as if his life depends on it. He is the best dog I have ever looked after :D

What a stunning girl. If only she stayed that size I would adopt her in a heartbeat…have totally fallen for her. I just don’t have the space for a large dog  I really hope she gets her new home soon.

That is great news. If you are still stuck for someone to take her in I can pick her up tomorrow and look after her until the weekend. Let me know.

I could sign the paperwork for you if that’s what they require. I only live ten minutes from the pound so it would be no problem.

My fluffy little bundle of joy Archie has found a home for life. He will be meeting his new parents on Saturday. It’s great news for him – although I know it will break my heart to say goodbye! A big thank you to the home that is adopting him – you won’t regret it.

I am keen to foster Jamie. Going to pop up to the pound tomorrow and see if I can sort something out.
