It’s been almost forever since the last update! :o But just a quick note here to say I’m completely settled here! Can’t wait for summer when I can go to the beach again :D I am now officially best friends with one of the two cats (BooBoo) but Garfield is still iffy about me :? I can say I am now great when it comes to other dogs, all I want to do is play!!! This is all I have time to say now but I promise these updates will be more frequent! (With pictures to prove it next time!) :D

Ah I know – it’s a tough life trying to decide which sofa to lie on… Sometimes the back of the sofa is best as I can keep an eye on everything that’s going on!! :D

HI there just wanted to let you know that I am getting on great.

I have lots of new toys but my fave is a pheasant that squeaks. Still love my tennis ball too tho so when they throw both for me I don’t know which to go for!!!

I am very friendly to the cats now – have the odd chase around just for fun you know, but Boo-boo knows that I am a big softie and we are pals. Garfield is still, how shall I say, hostile, and does a lot of hissing when I get near, however we maintain a dignified distance from each other mostly!! I am still as energetic as ever and will do endless laps of the house, yard, field – where ever I happen to be.

Still love chasing birds too. Had a holiday weekend at the beach in October and loved the beach and the sea – dog heaven! Love going in the jeep although I jumped out the window once while it was moving – I rolled the window down myself – no injuries – but won’t do that again!! Also got too close to the jeep once when it was moving and got a fright when it hit me. Got a graze on my leg and was a bit bruised and sorry for myself – but the upside was I got loads and loads of sympathy and attention and I stay well away now from moving vehicles!!!!!

Was fantastic to meet my foster mam again at the Country Fair – that was an amazing day – sooooo many people and dogs – I was completely exhausted at the end of it – there was only one dog that i REALLY objected to  – a really yappy yorkie – however most of the time I was really good on the lead :) and very well behaved. :P I was out ALL the previous day on the farm with Andrew chasing birds FOR 8 HOURS (Andrew was on the digger and I was doing the bird chasing) – so that had me a bit worn out! :D I have a great video on FB of me doing a bit of digging and also showing some love for the beanbag – (it’s a very cute beanbag, trust me!)Look up Diane Dagg and you’ll find me!! Thanks to all of you who follow me through thick and thin – I am a happy happy hound :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D By the way I can give the paw now – Holly spent lots of time teaching me.

Settled in so well to my new home now that I stay outside by myself during the day and mind the garden – it’s much more fun than being in my stabl!!

I chase the birds, play with sticks and have found a new hobby – chewing up empty plant pots – great fun!!! I like collecting up shoes too… Stll I think sticks are more fun – but the best of all is my tennis ball. My family will throw it and throw it and I bring it back every time. :) :) :)

I play and ask everyone to throw the ball. We go for long walks every day – the grass is so long now that I bound up and down as I run through it – like a hare!! ;) At dusk every night I go mad chasing the birds..around and around…and around….and around. I am very fond of going around and around actually – especially when I have a long stick. I brought my blanket inside the house today – just hinting at moving in permanently    Will upload more photos soon – promise!!

Just to let all my friends how I am getting on. I am at my new home ten days now and have settled right in. I was really excited when I arrived and didn’t stop racing around for the first 2 days, but I am much more relaxed now and am able to chill out. I was really happy to find my own flock of house martins in the big shed.

If I ever get bored I can go in there and chase them as they fly in circles around the roof – a great rainy day activity:lol: There are lots of fields for me to run around in and Diane says I should be an elite athlete as I can run so fast – maybe there is some whippet in me ;)

The first few days I was here were really hot and I made full use of the pond and had lots of swims – now it is cooler I don’t go in so often, but will go in to get my ball if I can’t reach it! I got a new tennis ball and love to play fetch. When my family saw that I have a thing about chasing sticks in circles while holding one end of them, they got me a plastic string of sausages which is great fun. I have been for walks with Katie down to the village a few times and I have played in the river there too, fetching sticks. Every day Diane or Andrew take me for a long walk around some of the fields on the farm. This usually involves me running about like a mad thing after birds, finding drains to explore, fighting with sticks and I have raised a pheasant or two  I even chased the cows yesterday  but am not sure if that was in the plans  .

Oh yes, I helped get in some sheep yesterday – wasn’t really sure what they were but I gave them a good sniffing over and they seem harmless enough ;). I am still sooo tempted to chase the 2 cats that live here as they always run away when they see me coming, but I get told off and am getting more restrained. I always come when I am called and can sit. Holly and her friends were teaching me to do jumps last weekend, you may laugh, but I can clear a 3 foot spread without a second thought

I am very good to stay around the house and a few times I have been left alone for a half hour outside and have just amused myself in the garden and waited for my family to come back. Bonnie the pony and I get on fine, she doesn’t pay much attention to me at all – I thing actually she may be ignoring me  I don’t go too close to her back legs though, just in case!!

Last night it was getting dark and I brought out my blanket to play with in the garden to give my new family the hint that it was bedtime!! It worked too! ;) I am really happy here, of course I miss my foster family who were soooo good to me, but am delighted to have found my happy ending.

Thank you to everyone who was following my progress I’ll keep you updated – Holly takes lots of photos of me I’ll get her to post them up.

Evan is settling in well and is having a great time chasing all the birds. Not quite sure what the two cats think of Evan, but he thinks that they are great for chasing too!! We are working on that!! He runs about 100 miles a day and luckily he has loads of space here to work off some of his energy. He had six twelve year old girls to play with all day today and he loved every minute. He also helped to round up a lamb and did a great job  He loves to play with sticks, the longer the better – he had a great fight with a five foot one yesterday. Also having loads of swims – he’s a real water-baby! ;)
