iPhone Pictures 2 018.JPGClaireTMemberThanks Twist, dogsrule and Mutley!! She really is so sweet, it’s beyond me that she ended up where she did! You really need to meet this girl to truly see what an angel she is..
She is so undemanding and she wants nothing more than to be near you! A VERY quick learner, she has come on leaps and bounds with the lead. Still not quite where she should be, but I think she’ll have the hang of it within a week. She’s very clever!!! Got a few more snaps of her today..

iPhone Pictures 103.JPGClaireTMemberSO Belle has stayed her first night with me and she was as good as gold!!!
We picked Belle up form the pound at about 12:30pm yesterday. When the woman brought her out of the kennels, she was very nervous and afraid. Once I called her over to me it was as if she knew I was there to save her! From that moment on, her tail has not stopped wagging!! (she even sometimes wag’s it in her sleep!) She was very scared about coming into our house at first, but she quickly came to realise that it was a lot warmer inside than it was outside! She ate her first bit of food so quick, I’m convinced she didn’t even chew it! So, I don’t think she is a picky eater. I then took her for a walk. She was very nervous about putting on a lead, and was quite afraid to walk anywhere, so I kept the walk to a short one. Even within the last 24hours she seems to have improved a lot with it. With a little bit of time, she will soon realise that leads mean walkies!!
After her walk I gave her a nice bath, and she quickly found her favourite spot – right in the middle of the couch!!
She is such a super super dog! Very quite and timid. She has such a good temperment! She is AMAZING wth cats and other dogs!! When my neighbours cat first came over to meet her, I was worried Belle might have been blind because she didn’t even look twice at the cat!! She’s not blind, she is just fantastic around other animals..She is GREAT with kids too! Infact, she is great with anyone who gives her a nice pet!! She is just an incredible dog, I’m so impressed by her!! She is such an angel, and whoever can give her the home she deserves will be rewarded with an endless amout of love!!
"A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself" – Josh Billings. Case in point with Belle. She is truly fantastic!
We took her to the vet today. I have never seen a dog be so friendly towards a vet until today. Belle just wanted a cuddle off anyone!! She will be spayed on Tuesday (20/12/2011) and microchipped. Not the best christmas present she will get, but I’ll give her lots of treats afterwards to make up for it! I have yet to tell her she will need to wear a cone for about 10 days
I will try and upload some photo’s of her now. It’s quite hard to take a photo of her because she gets up and comes over to you any time you look at her. I managed to get a video of her eating a Denta Stick, which will show off her beautiful face. I will try and upload that one too.
She really is a wonderful dog. She is very placid, and has been happy enough to sleep for most of today. She would be suited to any type of household that can give her all the love and cuddles she deserves. She’s a true lady! -
