My little superstar continues to shine. He’s had a busy schedule this weekend. He went to a family party yesterday where he had to contend with a lot of noise & activity, (even more than normal) & what we affectionately call, "the crazy collie", Riley. I was a little concerned about how he would manage but I didn’t want to leave him behind. I needn’t have worried, he followed Lucky’s lead & took it all in his stride. :) He was down at the beach today & had a good run around with his foster brothers & the kids. His recall is good so I can let him off lead without a problem.

Alfie really is as good as gold. He thrives in the company of other dogs, he’s cat friendly, he’s great with kids (who aren’t going to be too excitable around him) He can get a little unsure around new people but warms up very quickly. He is an absolute gem of a pup.. :)

No, no, you’re right Indianna, thank you for alerting me to that. ;)
Funnily enough, while Alfie was out on his walk today we were stopped twice because of that jumper. One woman was admiring it and wanted to know where we got it (she wants to get one for her dog  ) and the other woman recognised him from the site because of his jumper!! We were stopped many other times by people admiring him.. and little Alfie took it all in his stride. He’s starting to really enjoy his walks & now skips along like a little lamb. :o
Alfie is an absolute dream to foster, & I’m really going to miss his gentle ways when he finds himself a forever home.

Little Alfie is slowly growing in confidence & whilst he finds the outside world a very scary place he is making progress. He loves chicken so this helps to ease his worries…
He’d big day on Friday & spent the day in Mutley’s Empawrium in Portmarnock, just to broaden his horizons a little. He’d a fantastic time playing & snoozing the day away with another puppy. A huge thanks to the girls there for completely spoiling him. They reported back that he was as good as gold, but we knew that anyway. ;)
Alfie is a really sweet, gentle, timid little puppy & it’s so nice to see him beginning to come out of his shell.

Arthur’s a lovely old gent, he wagged his tail to greet us but unfortunately wasn’t up to getting out of bed. The pound staff are looking after him as best they can and trying to make him as comfortable as possible. Absolutely heartbreaking. :( :( :( :(

Poor Jessie is painfully thin. :( Little pet is absolutely terrified in the pound, she’s very sweet and gentle.

I got to take this little lady to the vets today to have her stitches out & what an absolute dote she is. I took her out of the pound just over a month ago, she was underweight & her coat was in bits, but thanks to Nina she’s now looking fantastic. She travelled really well in the car, was brilliant with my kids, & behaved impeccably at the vets. She has a lovely gentle way about her & I could see her fitting into any home. Nina tells me she’s even great with cats! Was so lovely to get to see her again & I wish her well. :D

Got to spend some time with this little girl today before she went into foster with Mary. So nice to see her coming out of her shell compared to the nervous wreck I met in the pound yesterday. She travelled really well in the car, didn’t object at all to my neighbour, Elaine, kindly bathing her, & was thrilled with herself afterwards! She met my cat, stopped in her tracks and politely side stepped around him so I think it’s fair to say she’s cat friendly. She was also very gentle towards the kids. I hope she now has a bright future ahead of her which is nothing more than she deserves.
