It is not far off a year ago that a little old man, with a greying beard, turned up in the pound. Things didn’t look too bright for him because of his age but I think his personality must have been his saving grace!! We took him on in March this year and Brian has just had a lovely first Christmas in Kent!

We love him – he is the best little dog EVER.

Happy Christmas to you all and thanks for our wonderful friend.

Much love from Brian’s new family XXX

I am in love with Harper! Any clues as to what he may be? Beardie x terrier? I have a beardie x girl and her sister, a collie x retriever, both Irish rescues of course. And my Mum has Brian the collie x spaniel from DID.

Does anyone know how he may be with cats?

Brian is so happy in his new home here in England.

We love him and everyone that meets him thinks he is wonderful. He is a great advert for the Irish rescue system and the sixth dog we have brought over.

Our thanks to everyone who helped him, being an older dog it could have been a very different story.

The adorable Brian arrived in the UK this morning and travelled back to Kent with me without a peep. What a dog! He is just wonderful. It looks as though he is going to live with my parents now and their 13yo whippet x lab who also thought he was the bees knees! He’s had 3 small feeds today and is now sleeping like a baby…..I cannot believe what a great dog he is – I AM IN LOVE!!!! I will see him every day as we live really close and no doubt will walk him too.

Thanks for your brilliant work and to all those who gave Brian the chance of a new life – we are so grateful to you all.

Once in a while, a dog comes along that steals your heart. Brian has mine, I think he is lovely.

As I said in a previous thread, I live in Kent in the UK and have 2 Irish Rescue Girls (Mayo SPCA) and my friends have a DID dog each (Ruby, Dec 2008 and Carley, Feb 2009). All the dogs mix regularly!

I lost an older dog suddenly and unexpectedly last summer and it has taken until now (well until I first saw Brian actually) to want another.

I have 3 aged cats and 2 horses also.

I appreciate that you would like him to stay in Eire but if no-one comes forward to offer him the home he so deserves, wonder if you may consider me?

This dog has captured my heart. I have been following his progress and am delighted that he is now in foster. I have two Irish rescue girls of my own – I live in the UK.

I lost an older dog last year very unexpectedly and wasnt really looking for another just yet, until I saw Brian…….am so tempted. :)

Is Deena still looking for her forever home?

She looks a super dog, roughly how big is she?

Can anyone tell me any more about little Maisy? How big is she? Happy with all other dogs? Is she likely to chase cats? Already have 2 rescues of 7 and 2. And 4 rescue cats!

Any idea what the wonderful Carley may be like with cats? Any sign of high chase drive? Am very smitten. Have 2 existing rescue dogs.
